I'm fairly certain it was fixed in the 0.8.0b version which released today, at least it's fixed for me anyways. If you download and update to the new version you shouldn't be getting the Mars bug anymore, whilst still being able to play on any saves you made on 0.8.0, considering it's the same overall version and all. From what I have read in other posts, this is not exactly a "bug", but a thing to prevent leaks from patreon playtests. It is a thing happening to tons of people, but it should be fixed within a few days. As far as I am aware, devs were just being cautious about leaks from Patreon and stuff, though I could be wrong about that as I only got that information second-hand from another post in a different topic.

p.s.; I would suggest that, if this bug is a big hassle, either wait it out for a few days whilst this Mars thing is removed, or go back and play 0.7 whilst we wait for the update. Remember that the current 0.8 version is labelled as a test version, so of course not everything will be fully up to par. Again, hope this helps!
I love this update, it's so atmospheric and the overall feel of the world is super fresh and fun. I do have one question which has probably been asked by many people, but I am curious when some of the bugs will be fixed? Specifically, there is one where the only signal you can get is titled "planet [1]", which is just Mars, and it is the same signal over and over again.
I know that the update just came out, and it is still technically a test version, and so I do not expect anything to be perfect, especially considering this is still in the Pre-Alpha stages. I just want to know when this and other issues will be fixed, that is all.

TL;DR - How do I download the new version to overlap the old version in the files, Would doing so erase my previous save, and should I watch or witness the rest of the events from 0.7.0 first or are they the same or similar (supposedly) in 0.8.0?
To describe the questions more:
1. How would I download the new version on top of the old version? Would it be as simple as just choosing the folder I initially extracted to, or would I have to do some "computer voodoo magic" in order for it to connect properly? I haven't updated a game through Itch.io before so I want to make sure I am doing this right.
2. Would downloading the new version, 0.8.0, wipe my save file from the previous most recent release, 0.7.0? I don't exactly mind restarting from the beginning as the update looks great, but I haven't gotten everything from 0.7.0 done yet (all events, story segments, etc.), as I am still only on I think the 33rd day or something in my first ever story mode run. So to extend this, would it be a good idea to finish/watch all events from 0.7.0 first before seeing how they change in 0.8.0, or would it be a better idea to start fresh and maybe experience the events differently if they were changed in the new verison?
I know some events were added and/or updated, so I think I could just move to a new version and it'll be fine. I simply just want some opinions from the more experienced community is all.
I haven't checked yet is the update out? Also does updating the game wipe my save files? I only started playing a few weeks ago so I don't know if it will or not.
