This is delightful, what an amazing concept. I don't know any musical theory so it seems like magic to me that you had it sounding good throughout the whole game. I love playing around with groupings to hear what it sounded like.

At a certain point the clicker was redundant - I didn't want to hear my clicking instead of the music :) At the end it would have been nice to be able to turn off the generation and just play with my whole orchestra without introducing more animals.Maybe add a "concert mode" or something for fun? :)

The art and the the concepts for the animal musicians/instruments is lovely.  I think my favorite design is the turkey. The whole game is very well laid out and easy to understand as well.

Thank you for the experience :)

Love the visual design of this and the incorporation of spring as we move over the tiles :) I'm not great at platformers so I only made it to L6, but I enjoyed trying it out. It did feel like L5 was a bit of a filler?

Interesting as a prototype for part of a merchant game? It seems like a good concept but needs some work. MoreOrfLess is fine, but that's random so not fun strategy. All the manipulating stats is no good unless "Persuade" action is available, so the random actions concept doesn't work with this limited pool.

Maybe "Persuade" needs to be always available? And then you have a larger deck of options available to allow you to manipulate different stats on yourself or the customer?

I am curious to see where this goes or how you're planning to implement it in a fuller game! But can I suggest you enter jams with a more open theme or specifically designed around getting feedback, this doesn't feel like it was designed for this jam.

Ah! I wondered if it was others user's horses, that is very cool :) That generosity with the prizes definitely helps to get the customization started well.

(1 edit)

It is a very cute concept. I think you need to start the user off with a few free customization options or it doesn't feel fun to enter at first since you have no impact :(

The 3d modelling looks nice to me and the sound effects are great.

I'm curious if the other horses are randomly generated? Is it set so the user always wins the first level?

The art and animation are great, love the casting animation. Its a very relaxing concept to drift through the crowds. i was a little confused by the movement - are there invisible walls north/south? I felt like I couldn't go very far. If there are then you probably need to find a way to signal them to users visually.

I enjoyed trying it out, thank you! Well done :)

Nice as a prototype of your farming actions, they work well. The watering and digging auto-targeting is very nice. I agree harvesting needs to work the same way.

I am a bit unsure about having fixed areas for different plants and having the planting be fixed according to that - in a larger game I think the strategy / flexibility of choosing your crops is pretty important to users.

I also think with the nice way you've set up the auto-targeting, planting blocks should be 3x3? Maybe that's just what I'm used to from other games but it feels like a waste standing in 1 spot, and only digging/watering 6 places

Spring cleaning! Very nice interpretation of the theme, the loop was great. It truly is a never ending chore lol. The dusting mechanic felt great, as did tossing the paper in the bin. The simple art and cheerful music suit really well.

I did run into a couple of occasions where actions happened simultaneously - e.g. putting fruit back *and* entering the bathroom, starting to dust the cabinet which I was holding the chair. I think clearer targeting & signaling that targeting to the user (e.g. highlighting the door) would be helpful.

I enjoyed trying it out and would have happily played more levels :) Thank you!

Thanks for trying it out! The way you solved it is perfectly valid by the current game rules, but I know its a bit unsatisfactory as a puzzle design sorry.

Level 6 is a bit of a casualty of the game design changing from more action focused - you have to place the last beecon after he's already moved over the square. On a redesign I would tighten up the puzzle designs, the ideal design is that you can place all the beecons before he starts off.

Below is the solution - but the beecon opposite the exit you add once he's past.

This is so nice!! I love the way you themed the pollination as matchmaking, its so cute! The art style is really nice and your animations are very effective. The flowers you made up for the crosses look great. All of the different species having there own personality is so good! Finus Omnipotus is so stuck up LOL. I enjoyed finding the bonus animal friends too :)

There are a lot of little touches here which show the quality of effort you have put in. Really fantastic! The end of day feels a little arbitrary but good fitting in the limitation, I did a much worse job of it haha.

Your little hats/accessories are adorable and such a cute finishing touch. Maybe consider if the shop was just for the cosmetics, move the "Reset flower" option outside so its easier to notice / access, and not bother with speed improvements? They kind of seemed like upgrades just for the sake of upgrades.

Fun take on the theme! I think it works well, and your art/ui etc. makes it very easy to play. I enjoyed trying quite a few rounds, although I didn't do too well lol :)

The animation is good and I especially like the bees and how the collect the honey.

I think there's a lot of room to keep working on this and make it really killer!

- Health indicator for the wasp would help I think, as well as sound effect or clearer animation to tell they've been hit?

- More juice on the wasp defeat, it doesn't feel very significant at the moment

- It feels bad that you always need to build 3 catapults to beat the first wasp, maybe start with less currency and already have them built?

- I would like to be able to build closer to the hive = more chance for last minute defense!

- A way to maybe defeat wasps after the get past the defenses? It feels really bad knowing you've lost once a bunch get through. This is made worse by the fact that they can steal the currency -> prevent you from even improving for the next wave.

Nice chill game :) I enjoyed trying it out! The different heights of the flowers incentivize you to keep trying to change height rather than fly straight and makes you want to risk the challenge. Your todo lost looks good, I hope you get to keep working on it

Very fun little game, I like how quickly you can completely break the balance XD The art is simple but effective and the duckling faces are a great touch!

The art is gorgeous and I love how you used the colour palette. Starting out with the egg/chick was adorable. Pigeon themed is lovely and pretty unique! The bird illustrations and animations are perfection.

I could only figure out the game play partially though - I guess it was meant to be like a tamagotchi, which were pretty confusing anyway lol.

I think hiding any options which weren't relevant to start with would be good? E.g. I assume you can't take the chick flying, but that just made it seem like the option was unresponsive. I did also have trouble telling which icon was highlighted.

When I was feeding him as an adult it was also hard to figure out how to stop? A highlight or arrow on the nest entry would be helpful. i was a bit scared I'd hurt him because he started making yucky faces when we were out walking then I realised it was a poop face LOL! I assumed he would poop whenever and we would just have to clean up.

I enjoyed trying it out, thanks!

Gorgeous artwork, really beautiful and so well suited to the game. Meeting the customers is great! I like the continuity of seeing them over several days.

I agree that the way to put together bouquets needs some streamlining - getting them out of the vases, especially. I quite like how you arrange them but picking them out of the basket when you have a lot is tricky. Maybe having them all start right-way up would reduce the amount of time to rotate them?

I think you can't assume that everyone playing knows different flower types - if customers are going to ask for flowers by name, that name needs to be visible somewhere (tooltip maybe?).

I like figuring out which flowers had which properties (cheerful, innocent, gorgeous) but it was hard to relate that to what customers wanted. E.g. when does bouquet size matter? Do customers always prefer large/gigantic bouquets? Maybe some more use of keywords in the customers' requests and/or the ability to try again if the first one you offer is not right?

It was also tricky because you can't predict what that days customer will want and there isn't a lot of space to prepare a variety of options.

I have lots of suggestions but only because I really enjoyed it! Thank you!

Funny game :) I had a good time playing! I think it would be nice if the plant grew more, and maybe if there were some high-value challenges later on to provide some variety? Blubby 4Eva!

The only jam game I played to actually incorporate strawberry jam, kudos! Fun concept for a game, you have executed it very well. The art style is soft and lovely. Overall very cosy. I did have trouble figuring out how to harvest the strawberries - I read through the nice message and thought that was all it did!

Your bee is extremely cute :) He moves really nicely, his animation for walking and for flying. The pollen trail and the buzz sound makes flying feel very fun. I'm afraid I couldn't get far though - maybe more health or some checkpoints would be good? But it might just be my skills are lacking :)

Nice concept for the game :) I think it looks great visually, the stylisation & use of the colour palette is great. Your bees are very cute! I tried out the bard class and the upgrades seem very clever and thematic.

I found the "Sanctified ground" update a little bit annoying though - basically every time I ran across a wasp, the other bees swarmed it (which is great!) but then they would tell me off for bringing to back to the hive, even if we were no where near :(

I had fun trying it out!

A fun game to try out! The little quips he makes were great :) I love the flower border as a way to track progress, very visual.

Nice game :) I love how many different flower varieties you included and the art for each of them. I think it would be nice if the reward flowers appeared separate from the garden so they don't get the other flowers behind them? It was fun to try out, thank you!

Cute game! A pretty original concept. I thought the flower sound effects were great, especially once you have lots of upgrades and hear them trigger :) I think it would be good to not show the upgrade purchases on the last night, I wasted 200 honey that could have been in my high score :(It was fun to try out, thank you!

Very stylish and effective art!I enjoyed trying it out and breeding all the flowers. The character & the customisation available is adorable.

The art is very nice and the drag and drop for the baking works well. I think having a bin to clean up mistakes would be a good idea, i made a lot of burnt things!

The other thing I had trouble with was that if I dropped a baked item in front of the ingredients I then had a lot of trouble picking it up (I kept grabbing more ingredients instead).

I liked that the customers were patient and I could get their items made even when I was clumsy :)

Cute little game! The bee animations and sounds are great. I think it would help me deciding on upgrades if there was some more explanation of them? E.g.the difference between soldier bees and the normal bees, and what the flower does. I enjoyed trying thank you :)

Very cosy, your art and music gives a nice relaxing experience. I like the use of spatial sound effects for the water and bees. The scrapbook and photo mechanic gives a nice non-timed incentive to explore, I think if you want to add more story it will be lovely :)

Love your art and this is a great use of the limitation. I agree this would be a very cool concept to expand!

The art in this is fantastic, I love the style of both the level & especially the ending art. I feel like your music and sounds also really capture the energy of playing. The bouncy movement is a lot of fun to try and master. I could not collect all the drops but i had fun trying!

The bee animation is very nice :) So is the other art. I enjoyed trying it out! Sometimes the flowers are overlapping the spikes which makes it a bit hard.

Very nice art :) The bouncy movement and sound effects make it feel great to control the character. He is concentrating so hard when he picks up the pollen!

It is very pretty! Unfortunately I also could not really progress, on my browser it was very slow :(

A nice implementation of the genre :) It is a shame you can't see the entire flower collection once you buy a lot. I like the little bee!!

I like the bee art and animation a lot :) I didn't quite understand what calling night did though.

A nice peaceful incremental game, definitely a good theme for one. I enjoyed the game play rhythm of growing the plants and selling them to then get more, better plants

I did find the side menu a little hard to use with how quickly it closed, especially when trying to swap between the types of shop.

Very peaceful and relaxing :) The gentle music and cute setting give a lovely atmosphere. The controls of the bee feel nice & it was satisfying to see the little flowers bloom

Let me know if you prefer these comments deleted once you've seen them so as to not clutter up your page sorry

Another bug I believe, I think the score was high enough here to pass? This happened a couple of times with the grasshopper challenge.

I have really enjoyed going through and trying to beat the whole collection of challenges!!

Thank you :)

A sweet game :) The art is very nice, I like all the flowers and the background you walk though especially. The UI for arranging the flowers is very easy and intuitive. Your music and sound effects are well used and add nicely to the experience. I enjoyed trying it out!

Fun game to try, thank you! I love how much of a big part you made the character customisation part of the jam. The main sprite is very cute! The controls / character movement feels intuiitive and very nice, a satisfying bounciness to the slime.
I got lost though lol! I am not very good at this sort of puzzle :)
