Not sure why that happened. Should be fixed now, thanks for telling me.
Also, if you downloaded v1.0.0, sticking to the older version shouldn't affect your experience that much.
Very interesting concept and cute game! I like that (if I'm not mistaken) some bricks can only be destroyed at a certain size. Though there were quite a few bugs like sometimes the ball's movement syncs with the paddle's.
Also I was a bit confused with some of the mechanics. Like sometimes the ball has a red aura, I shoot it and it shrinks but it still has the red aura and destroys the paddle when it touches it. Other than that, quite a novel idea.
Thanks for the feedback! I take responsibility for overcomplicated the puzzles especially with the time pressure. Should've thought things through lmao. We debated on adding a "Practice Mode" which allows you to play the game without the timer but ended up not having time for the main menu. Also sorry for the unskippable intro!
I think this game would benefit a lot from having more combat options. Like maybe deflecting projectiles or a secondary sword attack. The sword swing is quite sluggish so gameplay feels quite slow.
Animations and sound effect need a bit of work though. I recommend adding sound for the sword swing as it's a core part of the gameplay.
Though if you polish it and add more enemy variety, this game definitely has potential. Keep making games!
Also this is pretty funny lol:

How did you four manage to develop this game in a week lol. It's very polished! The gameplay is unique and enjoyable though a bit punishing at times (I died to the last boss after three tries) and the art style and soundtrack are very fitting. This feels like a demo for a full game and you can definitely turn it into one and put it on Steam.
I'd really love to see a way to revive party members! I lost the guy that gives you mana pretty early on and felt like I missed quite a big part of the mechanics.
Visuals and audio are an easy 5 star for me. Really love the sewer music. The game was a lot more challenging than I expected, which is great but some parts I found quite frustrating. Like how going the wrong way gets you stuck and forces you to restart the level. And also you may need to make the hitboxes in the sewer part more lenient because I still died even though I felt like I just dodged it.
Though this really has potential to be a full game so good job!
