I did wonder if itch was slowly you down for posting π
Amazing work π I was wondering where the "overall" ranking was so I am so glad you did this π
Thank you aswell for your feedback π
From the music side I had to spend a lot of time trying to make something relaxing as it's something I hadn't done before. The rest of the team helped alot especially when the art started coming through helped me better place the tone musically.
Glad you found it fitted the game π
Wow as a millennial this was actually difficult to get "GOATED"! I feel I need to study next time on gen alpha lingo!
The narrative was amazing.. must admit i welled up a bit π₯²
Gen Alpha Translation:
Yo no cap, as a millennial this was lowkey mid difficulty trying to get that W with 'GOATED'! Honestly need to lock in and study the Gen Alpha rizz dictionary next time frfr. That story was absolutely fire though , not gonna lie, it had me crying in the club π
Thank you for your feedback π
Yes I was trying to think what it reminded me of aswell. There must have been a flash game like this but cant remeber the name of it. The speedrun idea was thrown in to give it a bit of replayability. I did the music but did aload of playtesting and found it personally more fun trying to find the quickest way through the checkpoints π
Thank you for your feedback π
I think the stamina bar was put in place to try and stop people being able to easily fly through the level. I think given more time though this would have been balanced better. The coins do restore stanima so if you can balance collecting coins, float, checkpoint and swinging you need to rest less.
Thank you for your feedback π
When making this game I think we had quite a few ideas but about 3 days in the idea of carrying on with the game design faded. However we wrapped it up for the Game Jam into a "See how fast you can get to the end" idea. Ichit added the "Float" mechanic while pressing the space bar. I think this helps with the stair parts. However if you get good at the grappling mechanic that can be quicker then floating.
Thank you for you feedback π
Yeah I think we would both admit art is not our strong point. Our team was me doing the music/sound and Ichit doing the programming. We didn't have a dedicated artist. Glad you found it pretty awesome. We would have liked to make it even longer but we had kinda reached what we wanted to do with the game.
Thank you for your Feedback π
Yeah I mean the office enviroment sucks! So this was kind of a way to offer some escape! π
Glad you enjoyed the difficulty. From play testing I found that some people really stuggled (including myself lol) and other flew through it. So wanted it to be accessible for all :D
The people that managed to do this in under 6 minutes are ture champions of our time!
I spent longer then I would like to admit trying to get out of the cave. Luckily did see your video linked here so got to see the whole of the game.. I know having unlimited time on my hands I might have been able to get 50% of the way through it π
Great game and I feel you not a far off having a full product there. I feel if you not thinking about it already that you should turn it in to a full game on like steam or something π
Thank you for your feedback :)
Sometimes knowing what going on takes out the mystery out of life π
So i say lets keep wondering what it all means and whats going on π
Matt (Programmer/GameDesign) did a new build of the game every day based off the ideas we had. I mean I dont know how he did it in 9 days either programming it all π€·
