Detritus, the winner of this year’s ‘Interactive Fiction Competition’ (IFComp) has been released on itch.io.

Play it for free here!

resetting the pack charger

You can either find another schematic upgrade, so you can make a new paperclip – or, you can also use a pencil or a metal spring to reset the charger too.

Hey, thanks for playing and for the feedback! Good spot on those typos (those have been fixed). The final puzzle can be tricky if you accidentally recycle those things (but if you do, they'll respawn elsewhere). Glad to hear you solved it! Some additional hints have been added to make that just a little clearer.

Love this comment - thank you!

That's really great to hear - thank you for playing and writing this, I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!

I might add something in for 'Sticks & Stones', but it's a lot less puzzly than the first game. You won't need a walkthrough for 'Treasure of the Deep'.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to refresh the itch.io page, then load the game and go to the initial 'Labyrinth' starting screen. Look for the word 'puzzles' in the description and click that 3 times to get the super secret Labyrinth walkthrough! Just don't tell anyone else ok?

Look at the map directions carefully – from the point of view of the person in the maze. So, for example, the map with the yellow 'x' is: right, forward, left.

To solve the maze, you need to open the 'coloured door' to the right side of the room and then answer the riddle. Each player will get a maze solution, but it may not be for their colour…

Ok, that's now updated - thanks for spotting that!

Hey, that's a really good point – well spotted! I'll try and redo the almanac so it's 100% correct and update the game.

Thanks!

Go to Settings (in the side menu) then Gameplay tips: Complete walkthrough. It's in Chapter 2.

The walkthrough is a PDF, you can zoom in to make it clearer.

Hi, this is made using 'Twine' - it's free and you can find out more at: twinery.org

Hey, glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, there's a way to open the laptop without cutting off the finger, but sometimes, you've just gotta do what needs to be done! And yes, there's a translation of the Russian note in the main stores if you examine the clipboard, sounds like you didn't need it though!

Hey thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Love the music!

Thanks for the review - really glad you enjoyed it!

Lunium is a more visual than most IF (ideally appealing to a wider audience!). I totally get why many might be a little skeptical about the genre. Thanks for the active discussion, recommendations (and for the review!).

Thanks - glad to hear you enjoyed it! My next one is a bit more 'story', and a bit less 'puzzly' – but still worth a try! Will release on itch this coming weekend.

Hi, I've now added a download option (same files as the ‘play online’ version).
