This is so silly and I love it but the movement of the player was a bit slow and monotonous. With some work to make the gameplay a bit more dynamic this could really be something special.

Clearly a lot of work went into the sound and art but the gameplay itself was quite cryptic and it would've been helpful to have some sort of introduction to the scenario and the aim, also I didn't particularly see how it fit in with the theme.

I agree with the other comments in that this game doesn't really fit the theme and is just a standard shooter. Otherwise it could have potential but clearly there are some issue to overcome like the enemy and friend AIs (although I did enjoy the explanation behind the friends' teleportation when they got stuck, a pretty creative and fun way to encorporate a bug as a feature).

A really fun and well-made game with excellent art and animation and intuitive mechanics. It's a shame that there appears to be no audio and the camera movement being slow led to a lot of "leaps of faith" but other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this.

An incredible attention to detail in both the game's design and artwork here, although it was a little difficult at times. Would definitely pay for a full release version on Steam.

Had a lot of fun although I did have to exploit an apparent glitch in order to complete the first two levels (it seems that characters offscreen can't really be killed). A lower difficulty for the first level would've been nice in order to make it easier to learn what you're supposed to do but other than that the gameplay was fun and creative!

It seemed interesting in concept but there's clearly a fair amount that needs to be added for this to be intuitive and fun.

It was incredibly enjoyable! And loved the sound design and the general game design.

Yep it's unfortunately a multiplayer-only game (for now anyway! but we've added a video showing gameplay)

We know that many might not be able to play (due to it being online multiplayer only), so we've recorded the gameplay!

Description:

This is a cooperative multiplayer racing game where you and your teammates must work together to reach the end of the race in the shortest time possible. As well as pedalling normally, which uses a lot of stamina, you can boost while near another player, and can cycle behind another player in order to reduce drag and reduce the stamina used each time you pedal.

Your goal is to make sure that everyone passes the finish line as quickly as possible, as the race only ends when the last person finishes!

This game is currently only playable in online multiplayer.

Controls - Gamepad/PC:

Pedal - A Button/Spacebar

Boost - X Button / Shift

Left Brake - LB / LCtrl

Right Brake - RB / RCtrl

Lean/Turn - Left Analogue Stick / A or D

Select - none/Enter

v0.2 Known Issues:

-Your lean animation freezes while stopped.

-No Options scene.

-You must close game after the race is won - unfinished end-scene.

-Every menu requires a different type of input (main menu click enter to begin).

Install instructions

To Enter:

1) Download the zip.

2) unzip and run the file named "Dev2HelpJam".

3) Press Begin using Enter on keyboard

To Join a Race:

1) Select one of the games in the list below.

2) You should enter the lobby area - wait until host starts the game.

To Host:

1)  Open ports of your choosing on your router settings (normally accessed through 192.168.0.1 or similiar, and then admin password for router entered) - for reference, we selected 2000-4000 on UDP/TCP.

2) Open "Firewall & Network Protection" and select advanced settings.  

3) Select "Inbound Rules" and New Rule on the right, selecting "Port" and next.

4) Select TCP and add ports (for example 2000-4000) and Next, then "Allow the connection".

5) Open game and press Host after clicking Begin. 

6) When at least 1 other player joins, your 2 level options appear on the bottom right - click 1 to load the race.
