Already did all that and I'm just trying to beat the watcher below. He seems like a huge jump in difficulty compared the last bosses.

I don't know; I feel like I've been everywhere I can with the double jump. I found something that "looks like something belongs here" but I apparently don't have the something. Here is my map of explored locations: https://www.qtgraphics.com/files/Screenshot(1).png
P.S. Not a big deal to me but I'll add to the cursor bug. In some rooms, if I open the map the cursor moves at a literal snails pace but go into the next room and it's normal again. It depends where you are when you open the map.
Admittedly, I'm a casual Metroid player. I'm liking getting into the genre but a lot of the games just become boring repetition because the difficulty is just too high. That's why I like your games. The pacing was always just right. Managed to get 100% in The Lightkeeper (your masterpiece, if you ask me). This one, though, I certainly notice the slower pace. After getting the double-jump I'm just stuck. I can't see anywhere new I can go or find any new items. I know there must be a way but it's beyond me. Every new area is ablility-blocked but I can't find any of the other abilities. I might have to come back to this one later.
I had a couple more "almost" crashes where the game froze for quite some time to the point I was about to kill it in Task Manager when it suddenly came back. I'm on a Windows 11 machine. I decided to try something and set the Windows compatibility mode to Windows 8 and also disabled "fullscreen optimizations" and I haven't had any problems since, nor in any of your other Metroidvania games as I'm playing the last one now. Very enjoyable games! Thanks for making these gems!
Hi, thanks for the quick reply. Apologies if I came across a little hot. Strangely, in AppData/Roaming/Dreamnoid/SilentParadise/ all I have are save1.json and settings.json and there is no Logs subfolder present. As far as the crash I was just moving around in the control center area when my controller started rumbling like crazy and the game was frozen for several seconds then I was kicked to the desktop. The only other POSSIBLE relevant thing I might mention is that I had a large file copy going on in the background from one external HD to another but when I was kicked to the desktop it had already finished. I can't see how that could have crashed a low resource game but I mention it just in case.
The saving mechanism is kinda broken. My game crashed after playing for a couple of hours. and even though I had saved a dozen or so times at save stations, NONE of my 2 hours of progress was saved! What happened there? Saves should ALWAYS save the data IMMEDIATELY because crashes, power outages etc. do happen.
Can't find the secret area. I did manage to get myself stuck outside of the map area. If you go to the upper right corner of the upper square green room it is possible to jump up from there off the screen up and to the right and you end up outside the map in a 2 room empty space right above the large green rectangle room.
