Thank You very much <3

I realized once I saw someone play the game that the flies might be too fast depending on your monitor's refresh rate, which I'll have to fix up :p

I do like their unpredictability, makes them feel like flies, but I would definitely work on the hitboxes and speed, for sure, hope that'd make it enough to have them be fair.

Much appreciated, thank you for playing <3

Hi, thank you for the idea :D can't promise I'll get to do it (need to learn more before I could expand a game scope), but it sounds interesting for sure :)

Hi, just as a followup, for something that might help you if you'd like to try to get to the other levels, and haven't tried this yet; you can just sit on branches to hunt for the flies. they have a learnable pattern, should make it more manageable to take it easy :p

Thank you for the nice words, it seems I overturned the flies' speed a bit. Got used to it in development, to a point I didn't notice that they could be hard to catch.

the levels do technically build upon eachother, which was the reason for locking them. it's a circle of life, where you go through stages of life as the chicken. perhaps the jam version could've had them unlocked from the start though, fair point

Fair point, seems I got used to their difficulty over making the game, didn't notice it might be too hard :p

thanks for the feedback

Man, this is really sick, it feels like a mini-vania, Jam-sized. Really cool idea and lovely presentation, absolutely loved it <3

Oh damn, this looks nice, very well done on the presentation!  I like the idea, only thing I wish is that the robot could move a bit faster (maybe run? to still have an option for precise movement, if needed)

the main thing is delays between game end and counting whether it's a win or a loss. mostly noticing it on catch the bugs and shoot the bugs, where the wins don't always count when done on the last second

Fair point, balancing has been hard for me for sure :p thanks for the feedback :D

Nice, glad you liked it <3 Music is a bit of a tough subject for me to approach, but I'll definitely try to improve that "on my own time" (as in, not limited by jam deadline :p)

Ah, fair enough, thank you for the feedback. Honestly level 2 felt the most balanced to me as well :D

it's hard to say to be honest, I'm not familiar with the genre enough to give any more feedback other than that the sounds were a bit much after a while :p All the same, best of luck

Pretty funny :D

Would love to have some safety in game to make sure you always have a gift that a kid could want, but it's definitely a competent minigame outside of that :)

man, this looks so well-made for such little time. Curious how did you get it done almost 7 days before the deadline though? :o

interesting, creepy, but also hard to understand. I felt lost in the levels, which may have been intentional? could think of some more direction for the player, if not.

do like the flashlight in a dark level though, pretty nice concept. might find it a good quality of life for it to shine in a cone, rather than spotlight

Wish to have seen more of the game, as is it's a good start, but it's hard to say much more. Take your time post-jam, if you wish to finish it, it may become something cool yet :D

Silly Dog, Dogs don't skate, what a good boi you are though, lemme help you collect treats. amazing game :D

Reminds me a lot of the "connect the pipes" games I've played on game sites as a kid. getting some nostalgia points for that :p

otherwise, like the speed mechanics, but it would be lovely to get to either continue from where you failed, or to have some preview option for the speed of trains, for example

It feels like it has potential, but I felt a bit lost with what certain levels asked of me (redact and difuse in particular. I might have blinked on the "darkness" level where you see through what seems like a scope, so idk if that one is explained better, couldn't get it to show up again)

It's a very nice idea, but I'd love to see it polished a bit more. Definitely would love to see some checkpoints, dying late in the game makes it hard to want to go back.

Aside from that, I am curious what would you do with the game *after* the start button, if you had more time (no jam limitations) :p

perhaps, collecting chapter/level name letters? sounds interesting to me :D

Haven't played many "god games" before, so idk how original this concept is, but I like it. would love more options for the brush, it's been slightly difficult to control the game how I wanted it to at a few moments. Aside from that, maybe some optional goals to strive towards (like, sandboxiness of it is cool, but might get a bit more of a push with stuff to do :p)

a bit wild on controls (the man's zoomin'), but could see it going somewhere with more time (like, developing it further post-jam). Best of luck :D

Very nice and original concept, love Geoff he's my son now and you can't have him back. Would consider giving him a bit more ability to walk up pixel-height lines, have gotten him stuck due to minor mouse misallignments a few times, as an only frustration for the game. All else, very cool and well thought out :D

Minigames have been fun, though maybe a bit disjointed from eachother? wasn't sure what the "connecting part" of the game is, aside from doing some minigames. Still, well executed, so can't help but like it :p

Cool collection of minigames, aside from some minor timing bugs I didn't run into anything bad, it's overall a pretty darn positive experience :D

Really fun game, feels almost suitable to be a rhythm game if you wanted to go that direction :p

Other than that, not much to say, one of the more quality submissions in the jam imo <3

Seems like a cool concept, though I'd definitely like to see the charge time reduced a bit, it's pretty time-consuming to do that back to back.

Other than that, found a silly lil' bug where you stay the "charged jump" sprite if you keep jumping after the charge-jump, was pretty funny :p

Cool first steps for a project, which I'd hope to see polished further <3

Interesting game, like the concept. The sounds for talking might be a bit grating after a while, but aside from that, would like to see it developed further :)

Nice, Well Done! The Last level can be a bit chaotic, I've noticed that myself, but was at a loss as to how to make it challenging enough to not be boring otherwise... had to rush it out, too :x

All the same, thank you for having played it, and for the feedback <3 All the best :D

Thank You! Glad to see you've tried all the same. Perhaps I was too used to the mechanics by the time I posted, and that resulted in mismatched difficulty.

I definitely need to learn a bit about music, fr

Thank you for your feedback <3

Alright, thank you, got it to work.

it's pretty fun, though a bit confusing how you can just... continue playing, money and powerups and all. without that, it'd be too hard, but with it, it feels like it's missing some "game" element to it.

that aside, fun concept altogether :)

It feels like it has potential, but I felt a bit lost with what certain levels asked of me (redact and difuse in particular. I might have blinked on the "darkness" level where you see through what seems like a scope, so idk if that one is explained better, couldn't get it to show up again)

Hi! I've had issues getting your game to start (in browser). I read the letter, but clicking on it only makes page flipping noises, and nothing else. Tried spacebar, arrows, random keys too. Am I missing a way to progress further?
