Panic At The Dojo is a martial arts tabletop that lets you heavily customize a character's fighting style and quirks! It's not exactly an RPG since there's no real progression, but character creation is a heavy focus and their personality sort of emerges from the styles you choose.

And of course, I can't go without plugging my own dark fantasy TTRPG, 1000 Years Of Daylight, which lets you pick from some cool playable races (none of which are 'normal' humans) and a HUGE list of items and modifications with plenty of room for flavor!

A long time ago, I made a twine gas mask generator that generates a realistic(ish) description and history of a gas mask, including its nationality, design, and occasional fun facts. It's called Gas Mask Generator 1.0.

Hope this helps anyone designing post-apoc/military characters!

This is so nice! I can see a lot of uses for it too. Glad I randomly stumbled onto it.

I just finished my debut TTRPG system, 1000 Years Of Daylight!

It's a crunchy but simple combat-focused RPG with lore inspired by Gnostic cosmology. Pick from around 50 items and over 150 modifications to build the perfect soldier for humanity, then repel the demiurge's servants, the Archons, and save humanity from their oppression.

It also comes with a narrative-style lore doc called the Archon List, which, apart from being a fun read, can give you ideas for your next BBEG or divine patrons when setting up a campaign.

There is also a free quick-start guide now to get a feel for the game before you buy.

This game singlehandedly rekindled (or frankly set off) my love for TTRPG combat and was the reason I went on to finish making my own tabletop.

While I have some minor disagreements with the direction the new edition is taking, I have utmost faith in the dev's ability to make a fun and scarily intelligent system. I can't wait to try out 2e with the same friends I discovered 1e with.

I have had so much fun with this game. I love Annihilation, so it was an instant pick for me. This was my introduction to journaling games, and the first playthrough was nothing short of magical. It goes great with a friend!

Just got through the first act and I'm really enjoying this so far! Even building the deck at the beginning was really fun, and the reveal each time you discover a new card for the first time is a great payoff.
