I just ran into your game randomly today, as I was looking for some ideas for my own game and I have to say, I having read it, I think you did a great job.
I had some small confusion figuring how combat damage worked already, I had to do some searching in diferent areas, Damage, Armor and combat Resolution, seems a bit wierd why would I ever pick Reposition other than a narrative reason.

And for leveling up regarding Grow Stronger, if a player doesnt pick Grow Stronger at level 1 they cannot pick it at level 2 correct, the advancement is permanently lost?

What are you using to open the pdf? I have had multiple people inspect it, did it myself in multiple PDF readers, and I have never seen it look like that. The pdf should look like it does on the example pictures to the right.

Can you tell me which pages you see this problem in?

I was very careful over this, and atempted to choose a very low inpack background for that reason, I don't see this problem myself, but I want to correct it if its causing readability issues.

(1 edit)

I had to scope down my goals a bit. I haven't been able to do anything for 3 weeks and I ended up having to cut a lot of the stuff I wanted to do.

I'll probably put out something of a brief for the Jam, just so I can have something in time and then I'll keep adding to it.

This is great, loving the layout you used for the race sheet especially.

I started quite recently about 3 years ago but I've been interested for a long time, I haven't played much myself sadly. I have effectively completed 1 Campaign of DnD 5e that lasted around a year, the hiatus seems to have been permanent sadly. I've played some Low Fantasy Gaming, and was allowed to GM a couple one shots over the years, OSE, Low Fantasy Gaming, and Forbidden Lands. I play OSE and LFG solo and not much else.

Sadly I don't have a physical group to play with so I mostly play online, currently I am on a new running LFG game that has had 2 sessions so far, but its more of a dungeon crawn really.

Hey, when opening the Affinity templates we have a few missing resources, namely the Fonts and the Background image.

I found the fonts easily enough by googling them however a link to them would be nice

I don't know if the background paper image was supposed to be missing.

It will give a warning as well for the monster, race and class images but you know... we are probably putting our own there so it doesnt really matter for that case.

I ran a small solo adventure using another system but I drew a nice map on a paper so I'm going to see if I can make a little adventure for it, going to make the characters of my solo game into NPCs.

So my plans are to make it a Mini-Setting, I'll try and write it so it can be set in the Wildlands and it will be about the heroes attempting to stop the summoning of a great undead monster by a secret cult being aided by the Wildfolk. Will have 3-4 factions, a race, a class, at least 2 adventure sites, a small event generator table for the wildlands, 2 enemies, a few new items.

The map will be semi random, I'll use the one I have but you will travel slightly differently as you have a few paths you can take, with different danger levels. Most of this stuff is already written so I'll just have some work organizing it.

I hope I can get it out properly, I think I'll have about 20-30 pages. But I have already started (Very much not finished)

Bought it on my phone this morning on my way to work.
No work was done today.

Amazing game guys. Great idea and execution.
