Really enjoyed this game, especially considering I don't play them a lot in my free time. The concept is simple yet entertaining, and the art style is really cute! I liked when character was in his armor, I think you did a great job with that.
I had a little hard time with the controls, sometimes it felt like I didn't pushed the arrow keys hard enough, and because of that the character stood in one place, but maybe it's the high settings like you said.
Overall, fantastic concept and fun gameplay! I would love to play this game again if you decide to continue this project!
