Pulse Works Studio

Hey everyone! I just pushed the biggest update the Observatory has had so far — versions 0.4.0 and 0.5.0 bundled together into one chunky release. This one brings comets, music, smoother browser performance, and a cleaner overall feel to the whole experience.

If you’ve been playing in the browser, this update should feel way better. The sky is lighter on weak devices, the shop no longer melts your CPU, and the whole day/night cycle now has a relaxing music bed under it.

🌠 Comets!

Rare comet streaks now appear at night — tap them before they vanish to grab a burst of rewards. They also feed into the new Comet Chaser achievement. Let me know if they feel too rare or too common.

🎵 New Ambient Music

Soft pads at night, brighter loops during the day, and gentle crossfades between them. It gives the Observatory a much calmer vibe.

⚡ Browser Performance Mode

The UI is way more stable now, especially on older laptops and Chromebooks. There’s also a new “Reduced Sky Effects” toggle in the Journal if you want even smoother play.
