Would love for there to be an easier way to place satellites as close as possible. As far as I know, the only way to do that at the moment is by slowing down time while flying away from a satellite and placing it as soon as you can.
if you're in a situation where you need to grind experience, it's more than likely that there's an alternative somewhere that doesn't require experience to be effective
most things you don't really need experience, and the attempts you've already had before should already be enough whenever it is useful

There might have been a GitHub outage at the time. If the mod list still doesn't show up, you can download the mods manually. You could also join the Discord server to see if anyone else knows how to help or to look through announcements regarding mod uploads.
