I'll keep things to a reasonable amount of text. My name is Balen Butler, I am currently in my third year of University at Tulane, working as a Marketing Director with several fortune 500 companies including AT&T, Comcast, and DirectTV. I am working on publishing my first book come 2020, and my side projects of work all include editorial and writing prompts. I realized that what I truly wish to do with my life, is design the very games that I know and love. Just working on them brings me a joy that cannot be expressed through written words this short. However, writing is my passion in life, and games are my passion in life. I have decided to combine them together through this effort.
My writing experience has mostly fallen into "Dungeons and Dragons" , "Mortal Online" , and freelance projects in which I have ghost written. I am an experienced Fantasy, Horror, Gothic, Cthulu, Magic, and Realism writer. My expertise revolves around the creation of worlds and characters that feel, real. I also spend an absorbent amount of time working with a client on their idea during one on ones, or group meetings in order to not only fully flesh out an idea, but have many inputs at once.
What I truly specialize in is not only writing, but marketing. The ability to angle a game, project, or hobby towards a certain group of people for maximum results. Whether that be sales, or attention. I market products on a daily basis and have learned the ins and outs of people who purchase products on a mass scale, and on a local scale. This combined allows me to speak to creators, and project managers about their current design, and about where they are trying to go with their projects. I also do Consulting with owners and creators, in order to allow them to brainstorm with a brain that will not only listen and agree, but create new ideas actively to increase the quality of their product.
So now that I've said all of that, it's up to you to message me about my services. I am looking to work with a team, or with a small group of people. Really just to get my foot in the door of the gaming industry, indie games are an amazing start. Speaking on pay, I always prefer Revenue Share, but if we are being honest, there are many things I wound do for free. I promise, you won't be disappointed after a talk with me.
