Great game, and love the pixel art.  I laughed when the character (after the first minigame) mirrored my thoughts and said: "why the hell does he need so many eggs?"

Nice game, and gorgeous pixel art!  My french est tres mauvais, but I think I got the gist of the plot.  Well done!

Great game and interesting concept!  Made me a little sad after playing it.  Well done.

(Also, I laughed abit when we went into the teenager's room, and instead of guitar playing there was the frantic sound of pages flipping as he was cramming for the Gao Kao exams)

Quite a fun autoshooter game!  I love the pixel art aesthetics overlaying (what looks to me) like 3d models.  But damn... why is that big zombie so hard to kill? 😂

True, good idea.   Difficulty curve could indeed be tweaked, although with only 2 levels I had to start easy and couldn't ramp too far without major spikes.  Will have more levels and difficulty toggles in future games.  Thanks for your feedback!

(Also, Rock band and Tetris are awesome games.  Would make this game seem easy lol.)

Thanks for playing James!  It's funny, cause tons of players complained its too hard and frustrating (esp on 2nd level), so I added more savepoints.  Maybe my next game will have a difficulty toggle.  Or perhaps you're just above the curve lol.

Thank you for playing Alexanda!

Fly through fantastical landscapes as you dodge, weave and smash to the beat.  But watch out... one wrong move can mean death!  A difficult rhythm game inspired by the likes of Thumper, where you fly forward in time to the music.

Would love to hear what you think!

Background:

3 months ago I finally overcame my hesitation and started my game dev journey.  It's been an absolutely wild ride: learning Unity, transitioning to C# as a Javascript developer, experimenting with game design/3d assets/sound … a whirlwind of tutorials and error messages and debugging lol.  But today I finally launched “BeatSmash”.  It ain’t perfect but I think it’s fun, and I couldn’t imagine making this three months ago.  I would be honored if you gave it a test spin.

I really liked this game.  Great sound, great atmosphere ... a short horror story that draws you in.

I love the sound design! Moody and ambient.  Where is it from?

I just came to say... Slava Ukraini!
