Hi everyone! I just released Glyph Legion, a free portrait tower defense game you can play right in your browser, on desktop or on your phone.

What is it?
Demons from Journey to the West are marching down the road toward the Master's camp, and your army is made of glyphs. Drag a glyph card from the shop onto a stone pad by the road and it turns into a war banner with a little squad of soldiers. Merge two of the same glyph to level them up, and join the two halves of a hero's name (Wu + Kong!) to awaken Wukong, Bajie, Sha Seng or Bailong.

What's in this release
• 10 chapters, each with its own map and a boss at the end, including the White Bone Demon, Red Boy and the Bull Demon King
• 12 glyph types: Staff, Arrow, Fire, Ice, Thunder, Poison and Net fight; Haste, Coin, Heal, Drum and Mirror support
• 4 heroes whose rage builds into an ultimate, like Wukong's Staff Sweep
• Special pads such as the Beacon, Twin Pads and Spirit Spring, a pick-one-of-three event between waves, flying demons, and relics to craft
• Endless mode, and a Daily Challenge where everyone plays the same run

Made entirely in code
Every picture in the game is drawn by code, and every sound and guzheng-style tune is synthesized live in your browser, so there are no image or audio files at all. You don't need to read Chinese: the characters on the cards are part of the art, and every card shows its English name and icon.
It's free, with no ads, no accounts and no tracking. Your progress is saved in your browser.
