Hey Ace_Frahm, thanks for your comment. I do understand the frustration of the weapon change because it gets overheated.  To keep shooting with the same weapon you need to cool it down, this means getting the little diamonds power-ups. This way I normally can almost finish one wave with the same weapon. Hope this will change your opinion.

And also try to keep a finger on the "change weapon" button or C if you play from the keyboard, this way you can rotate weapons easily when needed.

thanks anyway for taking the time to play my game.

Hey Aycorn, thanks a lot for your nice comment. I tried to polish as much as PICO-8 allowed me, there might be more room in the future when I'll learn to optimize my code :) thanks!

Something about the game

This is my first game, made as a complete newbie to coding and game development.

It’s a small PICO-8 game, made with a lot of care.

I tried to shape it as a short journey, with a clear beginning and a clear end, rather than a classic endless lander, but I won’t say more.

There are three difficulty levels — I recommend normal for a first run.

Gravity changes from planet to planet, and not in a simple or linear way, so pay attention.

Hope you enjoy it. Feedback and comments are very welcome.

The game is completely free to play and download.

Thank you for taking the time to play it, and if you still want to buy me a coffee, it’s truly appreciated!

Posted a full run if anyone is interested to have a peak

Anyone got to the end of the game?

I'd like to know if it is too easy or not

Thanks a lot :) I appreciate. To give more I need to attach another PICO-8 card as I used all the available coding space for this one. Maybe I need to learn how to optimize the lua code :)

Did you finish the game to the end?
