Thank you for pointing that out, I've put this on top of my to-do list.
Please be patient, (I need to replace my old laptop to work on this project again).

Thank you! I'm glad NM Inspector is useful for you.

Do you mean just displaying a single tile with repeating pattern like in Aseprite -> View -> Tiled Mode -> Tiled in *** Axis ?

Do you mean this setting?

Also, if you want to create a Normal Map palette instead, Aseprite will make it automatically from any Normal Map image that you open, e.g. Examples/Reference images included in NM Inspector package.
Also please remember in Aseprite the RGB Color Mode must be selected, as the Indexed one isn't supported.

Thank you for pointing that out! Here is a fixed version.

As for the UI problem your'e facing, unfortunately it will take much more time, as I need to not only come up with good solution, but also need to build it for all platforms and then, test if everything works on Win, Linux and Mac. (without access to a Mac device it is very hard for me), so please be patient :)

I can recommend you to check the following:

  • Did you allow the file to be downloaded? It seems that some web browsers are blocking it by default.
  • Do you have enough free space on your hard drive?
  • Do you have an up-to-date program to extract the ZIP files?
  • Try to extract the NM Inspector ZIP files on another device, to see if it works there.
  • Try to contact your PC's admin to confirm that you are allowed to install new software.
  • Contact the itch.io customer support, so they can assist you.

Thank you for sharing this! I've used this for playing with my new normal-map inspecting tool.

Thank you for your feedback! Unfortunately there is no zoom. I am planning to completely redesign this editor and improve it in the future. Unfortunately I have no time no resources to do this quickly.

One solution for now is to scale the tileset in some graphics program, and use it instead. Later you can use the original tileset and it will be compatible with the level.
