Kudos, it is indeed a rendering issue, the GL build runs perfectly. (Looking closesly, I realized the DX build on my machine not only flickers but also stutters)

I saw there's a dll named SharpDX.Direct3D11 so I assumed it's DX11, but it's just a guess, I'm not familiar with it myself....

I played a bit, pretty fun, and pretty hard! (even with Stamperlot!) I can live with not having a map whenever I want but the constant hp drain really makes me want to start up a certain "engine"... then I scroll down and see someone beating the game with all 4 characters with a hand drawn map... seems like I've been spoiled by modern game design... (though I think I'll still use "the engine" eventually...)

Thanks for the GL build again!

I'm getting constant black flickers on my Win7 with GT940MX, which renders it unplayable. I tried tinkering with various settings, nothing helps. (including turning off flash effects)

It doesn't happen in the title screen - it only happens if I actually play. Does this game uses DX11? Is there a DX9 switch?

Kudos for the explanation.

Thanks. So, just to be sure, a ping on Discord is through PM, correct? Not I'm trying to PM now, just more of what my original topic was asking - I guess my questions are:

Do I directly PM an admin, or has a mod escalate for me?

In either scenario, will any admin or mod do, or I should ask a specific admin or mod for help there?

I can see potential flooding problems in each case, so I'm a bit lost on what I should do - hence my topic, I'm trying to figure out the details of the what-to-do's.

Hi,

In an old thread, I saw that if support takes longer than usual one can try a ping at Twitter or Discord, I imagine if it's Twitter, use a public reply with @itchio? (PM doesn't seem to open for all)

What about Discord? The rule there states "This server is not for account specific customer support", and suggests support@itch.io just like here, so I'm not sure what to do... send a PM to admin or mod? (Wouldn't that flood the PM?)

For context, it's a bit embarrassing - I did not immediatly check my purchase, and now I find myself requesting a refund when the game has been sitting on my laptop for nearly 3 weeks. (...over 3 now)

I sent a ticket with my account email 4 days ago, got the receipt but haven't heard back. Given my situation I can understand if my request is denied upfront, it's the lack of confirmation that makes me uneasy - the longer it gets the more awkward my request becomes. (I know things go slower on weekend days, but if it goes past this week it is hitting near a month)

If it helps my ticket ID is 156085.

Absurd/Silly or extreme Stupidity. Both interpretation works.

Veganism

Progressive narratives in Humankind:

Yes, moving and interacting with the environment via arrow keys/WASD and space/enter or more keys. Consider it a throwaway suggestion, I didn't have any specfic game in mind, and I forgot the fact that the camera in this game is side-based, not top-down (you can always get next to the point of interest in top-down games for interaction, this is not true in side-based ones). The gadget with two  indicators doesn't seem possible to use with a keyboard either. Only advantage I can think of would be easier running...again, just treat it as a throwaway.

Glad my feedback was of help. 👍

I have found 2 bugs.

First of object teleporation. Open the F1 closet, don't grab the pants, just close it. Hover the cursor above the closet and you should see that the cursor has become a hand. Click and you can grab the pants with the closet closed. Quick double click on the closet has the same effect, essentially, the closet is opened then immediately closed, so now a hand shows when you hover over it.

The other is related to the power cables/F1 left door state synchronization.  It is possible to end up in a state where the power is restored, but the door switch remains red and the door cannot be opened. Othertimes the power is off but the door switch is green (this one is easier, power on with red switch is harder). This probably has something to do with cable states not being recorded correctly, and is simple to observe. When you take off the screwed panels, connect the red cable, exit(stand up), then examine the panel again, and you should see that the red cable is now disconnected again. Sorry I cannot give you a visual proof, I tried PrtSc, but when pasted onto paint all i get is a black square.

For suggestions, I was a bit confused when the drawer slided up, it took me a while to realize that there is a handle at the top for me to drag the drawer down.

Keyboard support would be nice...(I just realized now, famous indie story-driven RPGMaker games are essentially Point'n'Click but keyboard based.)

Nothing else for now as there is not much for evaluation (is the design good...etc) for the moment, the game says I've seen all after I get the two gadgets in the F1 left room.
