Hey everyone!
I'd like to introduce Ping, the first game released for PlayPi, a new French open-source gaming console project.
Ping is inspired by the simplicity of classic paddle-and-ball arcade games. The idea is simple: move your paddle, return the ball, and try to beat your opponent!
It's a small game, but also the starting point of a much bigger project.
What makes it different?
Ping runs natively on Raspberry Pi hardware through PlayPi, a lightweight Linux-based gaming system compatible with Raspberry Pi Zero through Pi 5.
No emulation, no online accounts, no Internet connection required. Just plug in a controller and play!
One of my favorite aspects is that you can also create your own physical edition of Ping, using an SD card, a printable cover and a 3D-printed game case.
The game is completely free.

I'd love to hear your feedback, especially about the gameplay and the idea of bringing physical game editions back through open-source hardware.
Thanks for checking it out!
