this jam doesn’t include a community vote, the results are decided by the jury only, so there’s no room for messing around with votes and ratings

Hey everyone!
We have reviewed all current submissions and left comments under some of them regarding serious violations of the jam rules.
You still have some time to correct these issues. Take your time and good luck!

In this post, we want to clarify our attitude on the use of AI in game development during the jam.

AI tools should be perceived specifically as a means of project implementation: they help save time on routine tasks, increase the scale of an idea, or fill a gap in team expertise. At the same time, it is fundamentally important that the foundation of the game — its gameplay, art direction, and sound design — remains the result of your own creative vision. While AI allows solo developers to compete with large teams, it’s important to remember that such technologies can also create unacceptable inequality. For example, when paid subscriptions to advanced services are used to generate a game "from start to finish" without the author's involvement. A healthy example of AI use is when a programmer generates sprites based on their own references, or when an artist delegates writing complex code to AI while putting all their effort into the strong visual concept.

The main idea of this post is that AI is a tool for reaching a new level of creativity, but the games themselves are still born in our minds. This is the approach that will allow us to develop a culture of conscious technology use that will benefit the entire industry. For the reasons described above, we encourage you to indicate on your game page where you used AI tools during development. A brief description with specific examples will suffice: "I used Nano Banana to create 2D seaweed sprites."

Good luck!

Less than 24 hours to go before Puzzle Sobbing kicks off 🧩

If you’ve been thinking about joining — this is your sign.
Warm up your engines, gather your team, and get ready to break some puzzle logic.

To celebrate National Puzzle Day, we launched a new game jam — Playgama Puzzle Sobbing
This jam is about taking well-behaved puzzle mechanics and putting them in situations where they absolutely shouldn’t be. Not as neat standalone riddles, but as parts of bigger, messier systems.
We’re inviting you to:

  • break familiar puzzle logic
  • mix puzzles with mechanics they were never designed for
  • let them malfunction, resist, or create tension

If reloading a weapon means solving a puzzle inside the magazine — good. If the puzzle stops being “solve me” and starts being “deal with me” — even better. Join the jam. Make puzzles a little bit (or not) uncomfortable.

We came up with Puzzle Sobbing to celebrate National Puzzle Day — but the idea actually started inside our team.

Some of us love puzzles.
Some of us… really don’t.

That mix turned into a fun question: what if we stopped treating puzzles as neat little brain-teasers and started using them in messier, more interesting ways? This jam is our excuse to rethink how puzzles work in games — to drop them into bigger systems, strange mechanics, tense situations, or even other genres, and see what happens. Familiar puzzle logic, used in unfamiliar places.
We’d be very happy to have you join us 💜

We consider each winner a partner and strive to efficiently publish their game across multiple web platforms to maximize monetization. To facilitate this, integrating our SDK is required.  Our SDK requires only a small initial setup, granting access to monetization on numerous popular web platforms. We've worked hard to make the installation process as simple and intuitive as possible. For most major game engines, we provide plugins that further streamline SDK installation and customization. You can follow our step-by-step documentation to install the SDK. Dedicated documentation is available for Unity, Godot, GameMaker, Defold, Construct 3, and GDevelop. For other engines, refer to the Core (Plain JS) section.

You don't need to customize all of the SDK functionality within the jam! All it takes is to implement it at a basic level.  The basic level includes Required Steps in the Intro documentation section for your engine. If you want to use additional advanced SDK functionality within the jam, you can do that as well. The documentation describes simple steps to set up features such as: Leaderboards, Achievements, In-Game Purchases, Social Interactions.  But if you don’t have time to fully customize them during the jam — no worries, we’ll help you with that later. What matters most is that the basic integration is in place.

If you need any help with SDK setup, join our Discord—we’re happy to assist!

Hey jammer! We have a Discord channel where it’s easier to communicate and get noticed, so make sure to join us there!
We’re excited to welcome talented creators who want to team up and make cool games.
Good luck, everyone! 🎮🔥

We’d love to invite you to take part in our Christmas game jam — Playgama X-Mas Things.

The holidays are getting closer… and something strange is creeping in.
An unknown evil force is trying to steal Christmas — and your game could be the one that stops it.

What’s this jam about?
Create a web game where the hero faces a weird, spooky, totally-not-inspired-by-any-popular-series villain hunting for the holiday spirit.
All coincidences are accidental 👀

Why join:

  • A chance to win cash prizes

  • Opportunity to get your game published on Playgama

  • The ability to start earning from your game after the jam

Join the jam here: https://itch.io/jam/playgama-x-mas-things

wish you the best of luck!
