Hello! It is clearly stated that the protagonist is female in the description (FAQ). Also, the game is tagged as "female protagonist".  It's a matter of... scrolling down.

The time the characters take to reply may sometimes indicate much about how they are feeling about what you said. Also, some messages can be deleted by a character, and if you speed it too much you might not get to see its original content. They also hesitate when typing, make pauses, delete what they were gonna say for sooome reasons... Also, the speed at which the text is shown during the calls also marks the speed of speech, which helps to imagine the intonation, the character intentions and feelings... The timing of the messages is a big part of TYL's storytelling 😊

 Hello! 👋 We are Alma and Vera (Pizza Writers), developers of Text Your Life, a game still on the works and available on Itchio and Steam on an early access state. We are looking for a graphic designer / digital artist to commission the following game / game page assets:

- Game logo on the title screen

- Game icon - Cover image and banner for the Itchio game page

- Steam capsules

We’ve been using images created by ourselves until now (and they look horrible 🫣), so we need someone with skill to remake them and make them look more professional and eye-catching. Text Your Life is a romance game and the target audience is female, so we’d like to go for a cute style that, at the same time, lets potential players know this is a mobile phone simulator/romance game.

If it’s possible, we’d also like for the new title / icon / game page assets to still be recognizable by those who already played the available content (we know this might be impossible, though, so it’s not really a requisite). In general, the job consists in creating a new title image with some elements (for example: a mobile phone, hearts, chat bubble…) and reestructure these same elements so they fit the different required sizes for every asset.

If you’re interested, just leave us some way to contact you (Discord user, email, socials, etc), and tell us about your past experience or leave us a link to your portfolio. We will get back to you as soon as possible, so we can talk a bit more about the specifics of the comission, and to ask for your rates.

Not the same words, and obviously not the intention you are making it seem by quoting it in that strange way.

We will, though, apologize if that's how you understood our explanation. As we explained a few comments below to another player (who voiced your same concern about the gender selection, but in a very much polite way, if we are being honest): "we understand, we also relate more with females for the same reason! We would love to create another game with a male character, but we would probably find it difficult to write a story from a male point of view because we are both women 😣 But who knows! We will consider all this when Text Your Life is finished! 😊".

About the text speed, you can change a few options in the settings screen and use the "Skip" function: 

-Activate "Skip unseen text"

-Move the "Skipping speed" slider to minimum speed (or the speed you prefer).

-Now you can press Skip for the messages to appear faster 😉

Hello! 🙂 It will be the player's choices what determines which route they will be locked into, so yes, the person the player kissed/the person that kissed the player differs between routes! 🙃 MC's personality might also affect the outcome!

Hello! Yeah, who the girls investigate first does not change even if you choose different combinations of options. But every choice the players make, and the personality they "build", will have effects in the following chapters (only one chapter and a half has been published, so it's a bit early to see the consequences for now). Chapters 2 and 3 are really important when it comes to get to one route or another! 🤭

Hello! 😊 Even though "cheating" is included in the trigger warnings list, we'd like to point out that we give enough choices in the game so the player can avoid any kind of cheating (except for the initial kiss that, well, is kinda inevitable for plot reasons). 

We are obviously against any type of cheating, so even if the plot revolves around that theme, we usually don't write anything too...extreme.
