Thank you!

What do you mean?

Thanks so much for the kind words! That's really great to hear. :')
I've tinkering away at a few bits since the jam, so when it ends there'll be a few improvements hopefully!

Thanks Bartticus! Done keeper was one of the inspirations, I wanted to build more on the combat side, with the old school DOOM being another major inspiration.

You're right. Post Jam I think I'll add a little main menu, lore dump, and some instructions - and finish the UI... And the shooting mechanics 😂 Lots to expand on.

Thank you so much! I couldn't find the original, but there are a bunch on Godot shaders website, I just tweaked it a bunch after.

Because of the UI, or the weapons? It definitely needs some work on both still!

Makes sense, I had plans for most of those, I just ran out of time in the end.
I think I'll take another pass when the Jam is over and fix all these bits up. Thanks for the feedback. :)

Sorry! What is your screensize?  I realised too late I didn't scale dynamically for other screen sizes and I didn't get time to re-upload before the deadline

Really cute game! Love the characters and the hand-drawn art style. Could use a pop at the start to tell you some basic rules, but I got the hang of it quickly anyway :)

I was worried players would think the game was bugged by not being able to retaliate right away, but I'm glad to hear the intended loop connected with you! Thank you so much for your kind words. Is there anything in particular you'd add to make the visuals & UX clearer?

Did you play on the browser version? Tbh I had a lot of trouble getting it to look okay, the shader wasn't cooperating and I'm not sure why! The downloadable vers looks much better imo
I wanted to add settings so you adjust brightness, volume etc but ran out of time in the end...
I think I took a bit of a gamble leaving the player defenceless for the first loop, but good to hear a few people connected with it :')
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave feedback!

Thanks for playing! I'm happy to hear you liked the visuals. Agreed, theres a lot of room to improve on still, maybe when the jam is over!

Really unique mechanic! The boss fight was really enjoyable once I got the hang of it. :)

Lots of fun! 😁

Really fun game loop! Artwork is great too.

Thanks Hee-Ho! I like your vibe.

This is definitely the worst racing game I've ever played!

Great game & Great cast of characters, I love the tutorial guy in particular.

This game deserves to win a few of the voting catagories. The style reminds me a lot of inscrpytion, but there was a lot extra to love too. Aesthetically and thematically on point.

I've never seen such kissable frogs!

Fun little snake-like game! Cute doggo.

Really love the use of a limited palette, solving the puzzles was a great way to relax too!

Frustrating at times, but a lot of fun nonetheless!

I really love the artstyle! Fun narrative too. :)

Really fun game! Once I got a hang of the summon timers, it was a blast. Only thing I'd change would be making the player and his minions more visually distinct, so you can find them in the chaos of later levels.

Fun take on the concept, and the artwork was really nice too!

Simple concept, but executed flawlessly despite the time constraits. One of the only games I've played that could be released as a full game!

Love the minimilism of the ASCII art! I'm not usually a fan of idle games, but the loop was pretty enjoyable.

Great game! Love the concept, even though I found it pretty difficult to time the jumps correctly. The artwork and feel are great - even the itch page was on point!

Fun concept! I needed a chill game after crashing out on this Jam haha.

Great work on this! The movement in particular feels great.

I really love the aesthetics! Takes me back to my youth :') Awesome gameplay too.

Thanks a bunch! Glad you enjoyed it.

I think maybe I had bought the seed and planted it somewhere without realising? I ended up pressing all the buttons but nothing seemed to happen! Maybe I got the ordering wrong. :s

I had a lot of fun with it anyway! The artstyle and music were beautiful too. Hope you had fun making it.

Fun game! The chain lightning was my favourite weapon out of the bunch. Would be nice to get some kind of visual indicator when the player takes damage so you know how close you can get to enemies for that graze bonus :')

Charming little game! Pretty easy when you get the hang of it. Would be cool to get a bonus for catching larger groups of the same animal, and I found I had a bunch of extra time left over at the end so it was easy to catch just one at a time - which is much safer.

Loved the little sushi characters! Proud to say I didn't get eaten.

Thanks so much frogs! I wanted to add extra controls so you could control one of the guns at a time, but ran out of time. Glad you had fun with it anyway! :)

It felt like I couldn't see the whole viewport on some of the levels, I'm not sure if it was intended?

Really cute game! The music notes were a really nice touch.
