Hello all, this is me!

I would love to hear from you, please leave any comments about the asset, and let me know how to improve my work for yours.

I'd love to see how this tileset looks in your game.

Enjoy!

Hello there!!! I see on your update a Custom imported images mention, but I see no option to import "whatever you could imagine" hehe Im looking to import my own ground sets, Im not comfortable using the available floors and such, I would like to use my own, is there a way and specific format to do so? Thank you, so far feels amazing this tool.

Thank you, yes, I saw an import feature on the roadmap Im excited for, I actually use Aseprite to create my art, but I want a tool like yours to manage a library of layers to be able to create any combination I want, the way this app handles animations is precious, so I would hope an import option in the future. Thanks for your quick response.

Hello there, I've just bought your app, looks cool, but Im an artist and was planning to use my own sprites, I cannot work with your sprites because I just wanna make my own genuine content, with my own style, is this possible?

First things first

This Package will be Free, if I successfully complete a pledge goal campaign. itch architecture needs an initial project price to be able to bundle sales and enable pledge goals, so Im making a 10$ pack to enable a 50% discount to finally set a 5$ or more to cover the goal of 2 salaries, this way I will be working on this project for two months, making it solid enough to release it Free for the whole community on itch.

Like a Kickstarter or Patreon Goal, just right here for a wide community directly related to the project itself.

------

I am René, a professional pixel artist. I make characters all over for small studios and indie devs. Mainly character concept art, design and animations.

Every new project is a challenge, every new character has its own implicit rules, but all must be created following the same animation principles.

I work on Fiverr full time to cover my family, wife and puppy, and take care of my parents on Venezuela, while living in Colombia.

You can check my 2020 portfolio on Behance

If you struggle getting your shapes and poses timed correctly in other words, animating, I can offer you this template pack.

This time, as the first of a few packs I have in mind, I must cover the most used and common style, The Side View All Purpose Pixel Art Character Template Animation Pack  will be made on a 64px character canvas, but you might use it with no issues as a guide for bigger or smaller characters.

I will initially create pack containing GIF files as well as ASEPRITE layered files.

I will create a Sale Campaign long enough to cover a bunch of animations for almost every game mechanic.

The Sale Goal Campaign will be set to cover my essential expenses as I wont be taking freelance projects at the time.

I will use my own set for my own game :D so I will put a lot of effort to offer you a polished template.

Who is this pack for?

You might be working on your own game and you have not too much time to think in animations, but you might do it anyway, maybe you struggle a bit posing and timing your character over the frames, or you are an artist on current develop, maybe you don't have enough budget to hire an artist to do the sprite sheets you need, or you have so many things to do as an animator that maybe overthinking takes valuable time to achieve your tasks.

------

What do you need to make use of this pack?

Your preferred pixel art animation software to use the GIF file format as a starting point.

Aseprite if you want to edit/hide layers.

Basic knowledge of pixel art animation tools.

------

How to make use of this pack.

  • Open any of the Aseprite source files.
  • Create a new layer on top of the guide layers.
  • Make your thing, just start drawing above so you don't lose the guide layers.
  • If you don's have Aseprite, open any gif on your preferred pixel art animation software, create a layer above and make your thing.

Its just that, a flattened guide for you to animate quicker.
