I think that would be a great quality of life feature!
Also maybe instead of allowing the player to move backwards and potentially break level design, you give them a speed-up/boost button which could lower the frustration of repetition and raise the skill ceiling :)

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Thank you for the feedback, I have experimented with a web-version but all of the shaders heavily rely on vulkan, so too much would have to be stripped back or entirely re-worked. In the future I plan to release more web compatible projects for accessibility :)

Thank you so much!

Thank you for the feedback, and I couldn't agree more! I was concerned about performance because of the limited testing time, but all seems to run well :)

Thank you! Your game is incredible btw :)

This was way more addictive than it should be, I went until the game broke (about 15 minutes in). Some great ideas and an interesting interpretation of the theme. I had a lot of fun trying to see how far I could push the game engine! Great work!

Great use of the theme! The minigames are fun and some quite challenging, but the progression loop kept me hooked. The really like the art style and the ambient audio complements it! There was some frustration with being reset to the beginning after death, but replaying the minigames can be fun and mastering each stage is rewarding so it's not a huge issue. Overall I would highly recommend this game, great work!

The idea behind this game is great, and the gameplay loop is fun! Interesting take on the jam's theme :)

What an awesome take on both snake and the theme of the game jam. The puzzles were very well designed and the introduction of new mechanics was done at a great pace. The art style is super cute and the sounds were charming and fitting. Incredible game with lots of polish, you can really tell the whole dev team poured their passion into this project. Amazing stuff!

The game's premise was interesting and fits the theme and the first time running through was fun, however after getting upgrades and dying I got sent back to the start of the game with no upgrades. The autoscrolling level made this quite frustrating as the run back wasn't challenging, but maybe it's a skill issue. Really nice work making a full game in just one day though, huge props!

I really enjoyed the opening and the game's sense of humour was really entertaining. I thought I understood the mechanics and spent 10 minutes trying to launch the egg over the first hurdle but couldn't manage. I think with a more informative tutorial this game has some potential but I just couldn't figure out the first step. Very cute game!

This game is visually incredible and the gameplay is very fun. The guns have a lot of impact and the game controls very well. Absolute wizardry that you made this in only four days!

Great use of the game jam theme! The game is creative and the levels are well designed, and although quite difficult it's not too bad once you get the hang of it. Awesome game!

A very unexpected ending to the game! It was fun to traverse the level and I like that you can jump on top of the spiders once you beat the game :D

This game has so much style and it was such a creative play on the "loop" theme. Addictive gameplay loop and super polished player experience. The music was funky and you feel great when you pull off a sick combo while banishing a poor old grandpa to the depths of hell. Definitely highly recommending this one, amazing stuff!

The mystery of the game got me hooked, and the "loop" theme was incorporated amazingly. This game has a great amount of content with things to unlock and places to explore. The worldbuilding expressed with the limited visuals made me visualise the worlds being discovered which helped with the mysterious nature of the story. Really impressive submission, I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves a good adventure!

Some great ideas here! The enemy design and abilities are fun and creative (and somewhat educational?) and the theme was interesting. I didn't fully understand the objective of the game, but I quite enjoyed my time playing and trying to figure out what was going on.

Thank you!!

Thanks for playing!

I loved the character design and I felt the heaviness of the golem with the physics, and the level was fun to explore despite being linear. The persistent unlockable abilities were well implemented and gave me some "aha" moments. My main feedback would be to alter the controls to more traditional buttons (or let the player choose them) and to add some more quality of life features which are commonplace in most modern platformers like coyote time and smoothed player acceleration to alleviate some minor frustrations with movement.
Great game overall!

Awesome game! I love your take on this style of game with the expanding level. The game is quite addicting and can be quite difficult, but if you can master the timings it is also very rewarding.

This game could definitely benefit from some more content and art assets, but I see some potential in the boss "rage" mechanic and would like to see more of this "guy" (peak character design)

The physics are super fun to play with and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Occasionally attaching to asteroids would orbit me in an unexpected direction but it is a very enjoyable game!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere (no pun intended) of the game, and the gameplay loop was quite satisfying.

Yahtzee meets Balatro. Self aware-ly addictive gameplay loop with super satisfying visuals. Highly recommended!

Thank you! I'm most proud of the overall polish and style (except for the broken pause button, but who needs that anyways).

Glad it let you unleash your inner whimsy, and thank you for the feedback!

Great fun, I love the wave-based combat. The gameplay has a great amount of skill expression and destroying a whole wave of enemies is super addictive!

Thank you, I just played your game and it's great!

Thank you so much!
