PICK 5 is a thrilling, fast-paced shedding-type card game inspired by 

East African matatu culture. Outsmart your opponent, manage your hand, 

and be the first to shed all your cards!

## 🎮 GAME MODES

### 🔥 JOKER MODE (HARD)

The complete MATATU experience with all penalty cards:

- **2** – Make opponent draw 2 cards

- **3** – Make opponent draw 3 cards

- **Jokers** (Black & Red) – Make opponent draw 5 cards

- Full challenge system with counter-challenges

- Strategic suit requests with Aces

- 8 & Jack chain reactions

### 🎯 CLASSIC MODE (EASY)

Perfect for beginners or quick games:

- **Only 2s** are penalty cards (draw 2)

- No jokers – pure strategy

- Simplified challenge system

- All other rules intact

## 🃏 CORE GAMEPLAY

**Match cards by suit or value** to play from your hand. But watch out – 

special cards change everything!

### ✨ SPECIAL CARDS

| **2** | Next player draws 2 cards |

| **3** | (Joker Mode) Next player draws 3 cards |

| **Joker** | (Joker Mode) Next player draws 5 cards |

| **7 of Cutting Suit** | Cut the game when hand value ≤ 25 points |

| **8** | Play another card immediately |

| **Jack** | Play another card immediately |

| **Ace** | Request any suit – opponent must follow! |

| **Ace of Spades** | Nullify any penalty, play any card |

### ⚔️ CHALLENGE SYSTEM

When hit with a penalty, you can CHALLENGE using specific cards:

**Joker Mode Challenges:**

- 2️⃣ vs 2️⃣ → Penalty passes back

- 3️⃣ vs 3️⃣ → Penalty passes back

- 2️⃣ vs 3️⃣ → Challenger draws 1 card

- 3️⃣ vs 2️⃣ → Penalty passes back with 3 cards

- Joker vs 2/3 → Challenger draws (3 or 2 cards)

- Joker vs Joker → 5-card penalty passes back

- **Ace of Spades** → Nullify everything, play any card!

**Classic Mode:**

- 2️⃣ vs 2️⃣ → Penalty passes back

- **Ace of Spades** → Nullify everything!

### ✂️ CUTTING THE GAME

When you play the **7 of the cutting suit**, you can choose to **CUT**:

- Your hand value (excluding the 7) must be ≤ 25 points

- If your hand value < opponent's, YOU WIN!

- If your hand value ≥ opponent's, YOU LOSE!

### 🔗 8 & JACK CHAINS

Play an 8 or Jack to start a chain:

- Must play another card of the same suit

- Or another 8/Jack

- Or a joker of matching color (Joker Mode)

- Chain continues until you can't play – then draw!
