You came for groceries. Now you’re drifting around shelves and ramming shopping carts. Please try to keep the eggs intact.
Hi everyone! I’m the developer behind Cartbonkers, a 2D supermarket arcade game, and the free Windows demo is now available.
Your job is to finish your shopping list and make it through checkout. The other shoppers have different plans.
Smash rival carts to collect vouchers and earn upgrades. Pick one of three bonuses each time you level up, or improve something you already have. Just remember that your groceries still need to survive the trip.
Break a fragile item and you’ll have to go back for a replacement. Break that one too, and the stage is over. Even checkout becomes a fight for space when other carts try to shove you out.
The demo includes:
- Three shopping stages with changing lists.
- A final encounter with a very inconvenient floor scrubber.
- Three difficulty settings and unlimited retries.
- Four upgrade types to experiment with.
- A tutorial, remappable controls, and English and Italian text.
While testing, I kept getting distracted by smashing carts instead of finishing my shopping. I’m curious whether you’ll do the same!
