The Argument Altercation has a number of known issues, and this is especially true for low end devices. These issues are known to make the battle pretty much impossible. And, even though the LowSpec build was supposed to have fixes for some of those issues, they were accidentally reversed in the last LowSpec update.

the team know of the many bugs affecting the Argument Altercation (the speed issue you mentioned is actually a bug that has caused no end of trouble to players on lower end devices). They have been taking note on the issues (both technical and gameplay-related) regarding the Argument Altercation and plan to rework it especially in regard to its difficulty.

While I personally dislike the Argument Altercation as a concept (because I feel it meshes poorly with the rest of the gameplay), I am pretty confident it is not going away. In regards to improving it, I do agree with many of your suggestions, as well with your considerations on its collocation inside a murder mystery visual novel, although I think the matter goes beyond players possibly not being familiar with the genre. Maybe the point of a bullet hell is to try the level again and again until you beat it, but to have it as a minigame at the end with the level of difficulty it presents is jarring (because up to that point the action minigames have been both very different and pretty trivial even on the hardest difficulty) and it grinds the pacing to a halt at the climax of the trial (which is exactly what minigames like the P.T.A. have long been criticised for in Danganronpa). Whereas in order to improve in a bullet hell you have to keep playing the game, in order to improve in the Argument Altercation you have to, in a way, stop playing the game you were playing and switch to a different game for even as much as 20 or 30 minutes, which in my opinion is what makes it particularly frustrating.

In regards to the boss's health, I think it is fine as it is, because moving to the next phase after less than three hits would feel weird. Instead, I think Damon's health should be buffed. Did you know that there is a healing mechanic? You would be forgiven for not noticing, because it is both completely unexplained and extremely weak, only healing 1 HP every time you tear down the boss's shield. I think this could be increased to higher amounts for lower difficulties (and maybe even for higher difficulties, if one wants to encourage riskier plays).

I am not sure how often the developers come here to read the comments, so I would suggest posting your criticism on the official Discord server (in the #eg-staff-questions channel, tagged as Gameplay Feedback) where they are more likely to see it.

Hello! Have you tried using the LowSpec build? It should reduce lag for lower end devices.

It is a known bug, you can choose any word order so long as the last word is correct. It was "fixed" in the public testing build on Discord and in the LowSpec build.

Then I suggest you open a ticket in the #tech-support channel of the Discord server, making sure you follow the instructions in the posting guidelines, so that we can more easily identify the problem and tell you if there is a solution.

No, the game is not available for MacOS

Have you tried deleting the game and downloading it again? If so, please send a screenshot of the File Explorer showing the game's executable ('Project: Eden's Garden.exe').

Have you tried using the Low Spec build?

If I remember correctly, for me the game launched on the last monitor I had it closed it on. In any case, you can change the monitor the window is shown in after launching the game by pressing WIN+SHIFT+ARROW KEYS or by pressing ALT+ENTER to put the game in windowed mode, dragging it to the other window and pressing ALT+ENTER again to return it to full-screen .

A number of issues related to the Argument Altercation have been fixed in the public testing build available on the Discord server. However, said build also introduces some issues in that very same minigame, a patch for which has been found but not published. So, I would suggest waiting for the next public testing build to release and try playing with that build. If the issue persists, please report it in the #tech-support channel of the Discord server, which is where the team is the most likely to respond to bug reports.

Are you playing with an ultrawide screen? The game unfortunately does not support those. Try playing in windowed mode by pressing ALT+ENTER or adjusting your screen resolution to be 16:9.

In the pinned post of the #public-testing channel there is a link to a post titled "Low Spec Version Chapter 1 Testing Thread (CHECK PINNED MESSAGES)". There, you can find a link to download the latest LowSpec build.

You need to left-click to shoot. As someone who has difficulty aiming, I suggest you make the debate play two times: the first time you aim, the second time you shoot, both aiding yourself with the concentration mode (SPACE).

By the way, the difficulty of the bullet hell minigame will be reduced in future releases.

It is possible that your computer is below minimum specifications and that is why the Rebuttal Showdown is not working. On the official Discord server there is a LowSpec build that should fix or at the very least attenuate this issue.

Could you please not put spoilers of the game at the very beginning of your post?

You can beat every debate by using normal bullets, so you do not need the Pathos mechanic to get through that debate. Unfortunately, there is currently no option to change key bindings. According to a developer, there are plans to add this feature later on.

I suggest you report your issues on Discord, following the instructions provided there. On Discord you will also find a work-in-progress LowSpec build that should run more smoothly.

These are all know issues, which are being addressed to varying degrees.

For the first issue, it may be that your computer is below the minimum specifications as listed on the download page. On the Discord server, there is a LowSpec build in the works that should address this.

The shooter minigame difficulty is also a known issue. It will probably be improved with the Chapter 2 release. The logical issue is also planned to be fixed with the Chapter 2 release.

As for the 40 minutes, those are the amount of time it took Diana to notice Wolfgang and get a reaction out of him. The flashback is meant to condense those 40 minutes.

The minigame has been slightly updated, by removing the need to select panels with the space bar before inserting them. However, note that this game is not intended to be played with only a keyboard or only a mouse. I would advise you plug in a mouse into your laptop before playing the game.

Yes, the ability to use the number keys instead of the function keys has been purposefully added to the game for those who cannot easily access the function keys.

The game is distributed under CC BY-NC. As long as you don't plan on monetizing the stream and link to the author's page/give credit to the author, you already have permission to stream the game as per its license.

If you have saved before choosing, you can go back by loading the save file. Otherwise:

1. Download RPA Extract from https://iwanplays.itch.io/rpaex
2. Move "rpaExtract.exe" to the game's "\game" folder.
3. Drag and drop "archive.rpa" on "rpaExtract.exe".
4. Open "script.rpy".
5. Find the line where it says "define config.developer = False" and change it to "define config.developer = True".
6. Run the game and click on "NEW GAME".
7. Press Shift + O.
8. Type "jump afterTalking5" (without quotes) and press Enter. Keep going ahead until you get to the menu where you choose either path.
9. Save when it shows the menu with the choice to choose either path so you don't have to do this again.

This method activates developer mode. If you then want to disable it, just open "script.rpy" and change "define config.developer = True" to "define config.developer = False".

According to lead developer Sweden, a Mac port is being considered, but, since he doesn't own a Mac himself and he doesn't know how much code would need to be changed, porting the game to Mac might be too time-consuming for the team. However, some people have managed to play it on Mac using Wine.
