Thanks!
I am happy with how it went.
Fun and simple game, that gets hard quickly. Art of the characters looks fun and the music is catchy. Sound effects help aid the gameplay, I like how it sounds far off when you are on another terminal.
Probably could have more characters as I had a line of the same person when I lost. Maybe add some random features to them, like eyes, mouth, tattoos, etc for a future version.
Great job!
Great idea. This is putting us into the mind of someone who has dementia in an interesting little puzzle game which feels like a horror game. Was hard to find the puzzles when they kept moving the rooms (Which is the point but did get annoying… also the point) The visuals are very good. It feels like the theming is different for certain rooms which also helps with the disorientation the main character must be feeling.
I was not able to complete it in the time I had, but I enjoyed the time I did have.
Good thinking taking a card game where you have to lie.
The AI constantly thought I was lying at the start… I was but that is not the point :P. Once I figured out the AI and the lying bar I was able to get through it well.
I had a lucky run where I only had cards I needed for the next three rounds.
Graphics and music being pirate themed worked really nice
This is a good concept for a game, finding evidence to figure out who is who. Artwork and music work very well to give a good horror and dread feel. Like that the each character is a unique colour.
There is clipping when the character moves around, including around the table.
I see you have the current bug for the notes. They are not visible on the expanded version, but are on the small one. You should be able to fix the button to the corner of the screen using the anchor tool for bottom right in the rect transform.
It might also be a good idea to indicate when you can interact with something, as I got close to a character and space didn’t work for some reason. I had to spam space a bit to do it.
Good atmosphere, and nice little story. I don’t know if I got the right person, but that might be the point.
Very interesting idea. I like the messaging system and what you are doing with it.
The notes when they pop up don’t let me go back and check, which I don’t know is intentional or not. Also I didn’t realise what it was for the first time so I clicked something that wasn’t completely correct. or was it??
When the Second chat opens I could not continue. In that chat I can type anything but would not send. So I got stuck there.
Also are you coding in C# or Godot script? If it is Godot script you should be able to export as a web version. Also, add a way to exit the game with a button press.
Good old detective stories. Fun to make. Dialogue system works decently and I can see it working in different ways on the screen which is nice. Getting the text to type out can give a cool feel to it if you wanted to add to the system.
To help with the finding of ending two maybe have evidence around the scene that you can find, with some hidden away not tampered with by the bad person.
This was a fun simple game that is very effective. The asking questions and deducting was very good. Though I did click the imposter first multiple times which was quite funny.
When you are checking for good and bad, maybe have it get faster and faster so it doesn’t take up quite as much time.
Might also be good to have them lie about someone else in the level. As I caught a few out by them identifying a feature that no one else had.
Really good for your first game jam and being solo!
This game looks really cool. I love how it slowly changes as you progress. The sounds and art work really well together to make a fun game.
The minigames were decent. Though I hate the dials one with a passion. The connection minigame I failed first time as I moved my mouse too fast and it went over the wrong area, but didn’t fail it the next times!
I got stuck with the missions talking about area locations, I do not know which area is which so I just blindly had to check doors. Then I got stuck trying to find oil.
Really well made game. Great job!
Thank you! I thought I lighted up the clues a little more, and maybe added a little more for one of the clues. but yes a glow effect would work well as well. I would have loved to voice act it. I had voices that I would have done for the men, and someone who would have done the women. But ah well. Maybe next game.
Thank you for the awesome feedback!
Thank you! I had so much plans for more dialogue and options, but it was only me making it. I would have loved to add voice to it, but I think you getting someone to narrate it adds to the experience. My testers did the same thing. The characters were not mine (Got them from Synty studios) but the environments were. Thank you so much for the feedback. I really liked how my art turned out.
Loved the Don’t play this game / Stanley parable / The Corridor vibes. You did put your own spin on it and it was a fun little game
Was a simple but effective art style (Looked at that tree for minutes!) and I liked the dialogue.
There was one time when the it repeated a puzzle line, I can’t remember where sorry and couldn’t recreate it.
I think having the secret thing be that colour once then making it less obvious but still stand out a bit. Otherwise once you get it, you can easily get it for the other puzzles.
Good work!
Interesting concept. Loved seeing the spirits shadows flying around. I got the skeleton once but never again.
I was not able to finish it for some reason. I had one tape left and could only put it into one player and it said it could not load it.
Are you meant to be able to leave the city area and enter the void of white? If not, maybe seal it up. Could teleport the players to similar areas if you want the city to feel bigger (Like how PACMAN teleports from one side of the map to the other)
Good work. Looks and sounds quite spooky. Might want to add a volume systme to the options.
Fun little game. Was confused by the e over the fire at the start but quickly got it. Music was nice and melancholic. Suiting the story.
Story was small but interesting, each person had their own personality that could be shown in the small number of sentences.
The digging and chopping mechanic were fun. Loved exploring the environment and finding things in the snow.
Why does it take time to walk through a tree when it is chopped down? You can walk easy when cleared with digging, but some points I was walking into the tree until it respawned so I could go forward.
It took me a while to realise I could use E on something in the game. Once figured out, I got through the game quite quickly.
Overall, I enjoyed this game, thank you.
The game was fun. It had a lot of fun little jokes (And some groan worthy bugs) and had some interesting code to look through.
The emails space was a little small so it was a bit of a pain to read all of them sometimes, and make sure I got to them all. Also Australia isn't a bug!
Loved the pixel art and the music worked well.
Might have been good to see more change when good things happened too.
