(Golden) Totem

Known as a symbol of Fortune, Bravery, and Chivalry.
Most commonly depicted alongside soldiers in wars in religious paintings—said to be alongside "the right side of the war", though often times are subjective justice when it comes to one tribe conquering another—believed to increase the probability of that side winning the war and much smoothly.

This variation of Totem is also quite prevalent in wall paintings and paper illustrations, but themes of Conquer and Judgement are more emphasized here, and is implied to have a much aggressive personality...Hmm, what else is different?
Stories be told that one particular tribe that worshipped this deity performed notoriously gruesome blood rituals and is rumored to have never lost in any battles.

The polar opposite of the original Totem, embodying Misfortune, Catastrophe, and Malice. Perhaps this one doesn't need much explanation to its symbolism.

Very striking colors! I do like the idea of having varied colored and patterned spikes for one dragon, quite interesting to think about if these spikes could maybe serve different functions as well. 

The head design is also pretty cool! The black and red patterns make the dragon seem like it’s wearing a mask. I do like the black and red patterns overall, sometimes there are more black than red in places (head and wings), other times there are more red than black (elsewhere), still quite coherent though, very unique.

My only critique would be the color palette having too much vibrant/contrasting colors at the same time: 

- I feel like there could be more shades of the main colors (red, black/gray...maybe white?) to better transition between each other because they are very contrasting; 

- also the gray belly plates looks somewhat out of place, it sits between white and black (seeing the value, technically closer to black but it doesn't seem like it at first glance), and isn't used anywhere besides the spikes on the dragon's head—I feel like it could instead be of a much lighter gray leaning towards white (I mean even the gray from the top spikes looks lighter, game magic I guess), or a much darker gray leaning towards black. 

That’s just my thoughts though, I’m not a professional lol.

If I’m going to rate it out of 10, I’d probably say a 7.5/10, there’s definitely room for polishing but you still did a wonderful job!

So basically this species of dragon lives around swampy habitats, they swim in muddy water and hunt on land, and they produce a special cyan-colored magical substance that helps them navigate through their environment. They are cathemeral, main diet consists of fish, small to medium-sized animals, insects, and eggs.
