Good idea! I will work in some updates soon, I will try to add the volume in-game. Thanks for your message :)

Hi there!
I just wanted to share a demo of a new cozy puzzle game I’m working on for mobile and desktop.
The core of the game is the classic Mahjong solitaire, but with new tiles (some good, some bad) that have interesting effects on the board. The combination of tiles makes each round a puzzle on it’s own, but you also get to build your own deck of tiles.

The game looks simple at first, but it’s rather brainy and makes you enter on a feel-good flow state. Give it a try!
The free demo is available at https://paoramen.itch.io/whatajong.

Hey xyncht great catch! I’ve added those puzzles last minute for the players to learn each tile on isolation. But looks like some may still be a bit rough on the edges :)
I will change it today, so it reflects the 120 score. Thanks!
Also I do not know what turning the tiles black means; it doesn’t seem to be functioning, at least if you hop the frog onto the shadow as your first move.
This is suposed to be a handicap. There are 3 shadows along a run, one for each suit. They make it a bit more difficult to score points, since while free (not covered and with at least one open side), they turn one suit black. This means they won’t work for any color-matching tiles like dragon runs, frogs, lotuses, sparrows, etc…
BTW, covering the shadow with the frog is a valid mechanism to deny it, well spotted!
Please let me know if there is something else I could improve. The game is still under development!
