I use lootlocker for the leaderboard.

When the game is beaten, it sends a POST request to lootlocker to submit the score. They have some helpers for certain popular engines but I didn't use an engine for this

It's also very easy to send fake scores (at least the way I do it), but it's fine for jam games

I'm too dumb for this

The level was divided into 3 sections. I was going through the ceiling on the first part with high speed to come out of the bottom of the middle section and try to reach the ceiling, but my speed was never enough. I just read this now : "If you like it at first, please install the executable; for some reason the webpage version of unity has some troubles with the physics of the game. I'm 70% sure the more challenging levels will be almost impossible."

I didn't read that and played the web version, so that might be why it was too hard

12 was too difficult for me :(

Fixed for real now

Should be fixed (hopefully)

I've gotten this feedback quite a bit! They actually look different, but with the light they emit + you trying to go fast, it is hard to see that they have a different icon.  I'll do better next time

That was hard :3

Crashes at the end

Very  hard but fun

Agreed! Automatically picking a free upgrade is an option in the post-jam version https://pakt.itch.io/post-ld-hive-havoc

Interesting, that's the first time someone told me about this problem. Which browser? Maybe some problematic extension? Any output in the browser's console?

That was quite hard!

Needs higher gravity. Also the camera's vertical orientation is locked at too low values. Feels like my neck is broken.

Easily top 3 in terms of how fun it is to speedrun. Basically infinite skill ceiling.

It is REALLY missing a restart key though, it was painful.

Wow! Congrats on beating it, didn't expect anyone to do it!

The game is not playable unless I add a time.sleep(0.01). It goes way too fast

Just to experiment, but yeah, I would eventually like to make my own engine, not necessarily to use it,  but to learn how everything works behind the scenes. Seems like a useful skill to have.

Also, as far as I have tested (may be wrong), in terms of performance, Dictionary > Script > Scene, so since I was going to put it up on the web and there are lots of enemies (10 * level), I figured I would give it a go

Great graphics, movement controls feel very clunky though

It was cool, though jumping with UP and attacking with SPACE felt kinda weird

Huh... didn't think about that. I fixed it now so it should be playable. There is a small problem because I did Input in a silly way, so you actually will place a tower the first time you cancel the "tower placing state" thing

Never seen anything like this before, it was pretty fun, finished it with around 25 deaths.
