Not really. You can just hold your mouse button, or activate the integrated autoclicker with RMB. 
Normal mouse presses are limited and not faster than holding the button.

The player is ultimately required to initiate a localized, pressure-based interaction with the primary button of a handheld cursor-controlling apparatus. In other words, click the flowers with your mouse.

Try to put your index.html in a ZIP file, then upload the ZIP on your game page.
After that, check the checkbox "This file will be played in the browser" and save. It should work without download then!


I tried again, yes I could move. 
I managed to walk by the bird without dying!

This is great and absolutely has the Mewgenics feel!
The visuals are really cute (... and horrifying) and it fits the theme perfectly.

I will do at least one more update to this to tackle performance issues and add at least a bit of balance and maaaaybe add some kind of boss :)

I would have liked if all the cool upgrades were a bit more visible during the fight (having effects or something similar). 

Also (not sure if intentional), later in the game I could recruit up to 6 different bugs at a time (2 in one spot).

This is really impressive for the amount of time and one of my favorite games this jam. 

Great execution, art and animation work. I just wish getting back into the game was a bit faster.

Yea, I´m aware of the performance issues - I did limit(and later disable) the normal white damage numbers, but forgot the crit numbers, which eat even more frames because of the rainbow effect. And at some point the player will have 100%+ crit chance.

I will do at least one more patch after the jam is over to counter this. Maybe make the max count of damage numbers FPS dependent or something similar.

Yes, currently the game is pretty unbalanced. At some point the HP scaling should overtake damage scaling, but if you didn't lose by like year 20, it will probably take a long time. In the screenshot you actually killed more than 50%. There are basically two progress bars, the first one which shows progress to 50% and the second (with rainbow fill) for the other 50%.

Regarding the log  I added my time zone (GMT+2).

Uh I think so? I saw a funny bird pecking and a turtle. And there was someone saying turtle really often.

The gameplay is good, but the art is just wow! Love the style.

Did not feel like winning when I fell to death after reaching the end though :D
Also the "You win" stayed on screen after respawning.

I made it to I think 7 bananas. The wall jump section after that just ended me :D

Also my heart broke when I declined Sunny & Sally and couldn´t talk to them again.  I just wanted to know what happens :o

I would have liked to have WASD as alternative controls and maybe smoother movement in general instead of tile based.

Really nice art! Gameplay was good, but the enemy collision was a bit unexpected and after that I was a frog pretty quick :)

You´re right, the Evo! basically means that two flowers crossed by pollination. Either by being in immediate proximity (low chance) or by coming in contact with bees (100% chance after a few seconds). One of their stats gets upgraded in the process, but this plays a pretty minimal role in the late game sadly.

I already have a new build ready that fixes some of these points - like more variety in music and removal of the time limit and strike system.
There is also a restart level button and much more. But since it is still in rating period, I cannot upload that.

I like your suggestions regarding gameplay mechanics and really wanted to implement more of them together with more interesting levels, I just ran out of time sadly. I often start to polish when it would have been better to add more to the game first.

Will definitely keep working a bit on this one, so it feels more complete. 

Love the graphics and style, gives me really good PSX memories!
