First FPS I've played this jam! Shooting felt very nice, especially paired with the SFX. I liked being able to hear the enemies breathing before I saw them most of the time, which alleviated most jumpscares, but the ones around the corners for sure got me. I wish there was a bit more in terms of interaction prompts at gates and doors, letting me know I can press E to continue through them. I also think this would benefit from having more feedback when you're hit rather than just the healthbar going down. But hey, for one person in a week, this was great. I had a lot of fun!
I had a difficult time trying to figure out what to do at first. WASD wasn't listed anywhere, so my first thought was that it was some sort of tower defense game before I realized I could move, and once I realized that, I was able to just kind of circle around the perimeter of the map and avoid being hit. I think this would benefit from some enemies having a higher speed than the player, as well as potentially some ranged enemy attacks for you to dodge
The idea was incredible. I had a really hard time actually working my way up, however, because the only way up I could really find that allowed me to move upwards was the two platforms that move up and down, and they took FOREVER to sync up and allow me to jump upwards. And then when I was finally towards the top, I fell and died. A checkpoint system might be nice for that, as well
Had a lot of fun playing! Failed a lot. I think I was looking for details that were too small, like out of place cacti and stuff. I almost missed the credits because I saw it through the window and almost turned back because it was an anomaly, but I wanted to see what it said. Someone should fire that receptionist though, he's looking at either some real weird stuff, or nothing at all. Good work!
I didn't realize the room was changing until I came and read comments. But once I figured that out, I was able to beat the game. I think the style of all 3 rooms are pretty unique and great. I do wish there was some music, but we only had a week, so it is what it is. I do wish movement speed was increased a bit, the speed combined with the player sprite made me feel like I was playing a hungover guy. But hey, it was good enough that it got me to stick around until the end, so good work!
I want like 25 tiny keychains of the little martian dudes, I love them. I also had the problem with the blind spot on the tower where I'd always lose because no tower could hit them. But I gave it a few shots, to no avail. But I liked the SFX, and the execution of the idea was pretty good! And I see the note about the UI being jank on browser, it's fine when you go fullscreen. I don't know exactly how it is in Godot, but in Unity that kind of thing is usually due to improper UI canvas scaling, I'm not allowed to do UI anymore because I always mess that up. But hey, for one person in a week, good work!
Good work, man! I loved this game. Like, personal top 5 from this jam so far. I liked the rewind factor, and the fact that it was an easy enough game to quickly pick up on, perfect for the jam. I know it says you didn't make the music but I LOVED what you did with it when time would rewind. Really well done.
The canvas scaling on the main menu was off in browser, I had to fullscreen. I was able to make an onion soup by clicking an onion and then the pot and then clicking on the customer, so I can for sure see the intent, but the lack of UI showing what I had on me made things confusing. And the art is lovely, it definitely stood out to me. This concept reminds me of Restaurats, and I love that game!
I loved the game. The difficulty ramping up was a fun challenge. I do wish there was some sort of checkpoint system though, I feel like I got pretty far in just for the spirits to spam type right at the end of the line where I couldn't see what it had typed and couldn't correct it in time, and lost all progress. But I replayed it 3 times or so. The typing SFX scratched my brain in just the right way.
Great concept! Shooting felt nice, good SFX there. I had a lot of trouble trying to actually make a burger, though. At first I was putting the wrong items on just by them flinging on, or me getting too close when dragging, but once I got around that I still couldn't make them.I think maybe it had to do with the level of done-ness when frying? I couldn't figure it out. But fun enough I gave it like 3 attempts!
I liked it a lot! I like astronomy, and The Martian is one of my favorite books, so I liked the concept a lot. The camera was BUGGIN" for me though. When not in the telescope it was incredibly stuttery and hard for me to control, almost as if it didn't want to move. Telescope was fine, though. And I love the detail that the telescope actually moves when you look around, and is left off pointing in whichever direction you left it in!
I got through to what I think was the end, a room with no exit door. After the first few rooms I was able to get through them pretty quickly and had about 50% battery left by the time I got to that final room. My only real complaint is that the game didn't grab my cursor so I had to keep moving my mouse in weird ways to keep it from leaving the window. I enjoyed playing!
