Hello everyone, just wanted to share our new game King's Fortress with you! The goal of the game is to protect the King by building a fortress around him, equipped with archers, knights, target dummies, and more.
Enemies will start to swarm and spawn in increasing numbers. How long can you protect the King?

This is our second game we ever made, so we are really new to this but we are having a blast. We are a two-person development team and are excited to learn and build our skills so we can create better games! Please send us your feedback, and we will try to address it right away. Although we think the game is fun and playable now, we want to update it with the guide of player feedback. Thanks for checking us out!
You can play the game right on itch.io here: https://oscarsoft.itch.io/kings-fortress
Thanks for your feedback and kind words! The next update will be focusing on optimization and difficulty. We did notice that the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction in terms of how easy the game is, so we'll be working on that.
We'll implement stronger enemy scaling health and also a new enemy type to shake things up! Thanks for checking us out.
EDIT: Your thoughts about the grace period are great. I think we will reduce the grace period but start out the player with a decent amount of wood :D
Thank you so much for such a detailed comment. You make a good point about the game's difficulty. I'm usually able to survive at least five minutes by rushing four archers around my king and then making a diamond shaped box. Early game a box with archers is king! (No pun intended)
We will tone down the spawning of the monsters and see if it helps. In a future update we will also have a system where the longer the archer and knight is alive, their 'rank' will increase. Giving them more health and attack power!
Again, thank you for your feedback and we will be looking at everything you've said. We are new to making games, so many of these things are not obvious to us. Have a good one!
EDIT: Archers can shoot over walls. Maybe I will make this clear in the instructions.
