Lets gooo!! Doing the hard stuff up front! Laying that core foundation. Looks flexible enough to grow as needed too. And... sounds like a ton of work!!! But you are no stranger to that either! ;D I am (atm avoiding) upgrading my servers of 10+ years old this past several weeks with no clear end in site... I am redoing a lot of choices I lived with for those 10+ years (like how did the data layer get so accessed in the web layer classes... ug... well I know why... moving to fast and not following the design! I am eager to see how your project progresses.

Nice. Empowering message. 🤘👏

I'm curious in exploring this idea that boundaries are enablers of change and growth... Constraints call for creative solutions. Creative solutions give rise to solutions unconsidered. Evolutionary ideas. Revolutionary approaches...

Is it the functional friction of a boundary that gives us purchase to holdfast against it?

Without boundaries is there nothing?

Are self imposed boundaries where self directed growth burgeon from?

🤔

Then I think... How do we test this? 🤪

Good point! Hopefully that recharges your soul and gives you even more lift! I am certainly looking forward to having the time to check it out and follow along. I think you have a brilliant mind for solving tough problems! And a tenacity and dedication I applaud! You'll get this next chapter handled too! But your right... one should do more of that soul filling joy recharging too. :D (again... I wish I would take my own advice! lol)

I'll do my best to be around to give some feedback. I enjoyed the explodey robot demo. I been looking forward to a revisit... I was NOT satisfied with my last two scenario two performances. But Dwarf Fortress just dropped and I am rearranging my life to get 20-60 minutes a day to play this game :D It will be a dwarfy fortress implody distraction while I wait to see what you got cooking! (at least my forts implode)

Noice! You put in the time and effort in a space where there is often no guarantee of victory, but CL is a success on many many levels! 💪🤘

Sometimes the hardest thing to do is let go... (sometimes I also wish I would take my own advice too! :P)

You have moved the bar in this space very high. I **don't** slight you not for walking away.  **(edit! :P)**

I may be bias because I want to see some explodey robot game too... and I enjoyed the explodey spaceship game too... but my wants aside this is an important step.

v1. and may I be crass and say that friggin' super congrats are in order... And truly if it ever needs you to come back... you'll know where to find CL! Let it evolve on its own for a bit. Just know that it is there and its done what it's done, achievements and minds unlocked. Which is quite a bit! Definitely an achievement!

You got this. Go tackle the next problem!

This is great! Sure it's rough, but still great start! Now I can get my Lancer fix between games! ;D

That was great! I love how the intensity increases subtle at first, then it is very clear I have made terrible choices up to the point of failure. Great implementation of an in inversion to create a unique experience.

Oh this looks fun! :D Thanks Olive!

Its noise. artifacts. remnants of play. immediate feedback nostalgia. I've found the silliest of things with a leaderboard can get people to do the most annoying tasks repeatedly (in the mobile games indie space) and they get something out of it. Probably an endorphin hit ;) But leaderboards don't affect everyone. Its about 1 in 3, in my limited anecdotal experience, can be lured (to varying degrees too. some people can't say no to a leaderboard once they place on it.) I use it for retention and engagement mechanism in my line of work. but I digress! bah blah blah!

But what drove me to ask, was I truly wanted to see what others saw! I found the comment stream about results enticing and entertaining. However you bubble out stats would have brought me another ounce of joy. Who got off the fastest, I'd like to see how that happened, and who lasted the longest and were successful and failed (how grueling in both cases.) i.e., fnd a way to make a Zero Player Shared Experience.
Play stats might be a happy medium, but I mean... zero player stuff is fun to dabble with imo, but investing further is just a labor of love. If the muse wants, the muse gets... lol. I am just happy you put this out as it is. It was interesting to read and pass time... :D It was a modern Lazy Oregon Trail style experience... very nostalgic in that regard.

I enjoyed this. ;D I'd love to be able to export these stories it creates. Then we can do some sharing and comparing. Fastest escape/fewest survivors/longest days/etc. Can we get some leaderboards? :D Will I ever see a "project" finished. The people doing them always die before its done! LOL
