it's a shame that the levels are strictly horizontal, makes the game an auto runner in nature, which isn't a bad thing, but suggests a control scheme where you don't have to press Forward all the time, like a speed switch between slow and fast. the only time where you need to go backwards is to retry a jump, not to explore the area.
i really like the feel of this game, it's a lot like Super Mario Land 1, except the two-color style makes the image more legible.
tried the game solely because of the pretty cover art. surely wasn't disappointed with the flat-shaded art.
as my pets got diseases from food i expected to be affected by them too, but it's not the case. i wonder if this has something to do with the player character being a snake.
in the beginning of the road i encountered women and persons. the first time i met a man, he cursed my pet. immediately after that i met another man who cursed my pet. other people started cursing too, but the coincidences are amusing.
a button for looking back that only serves the mood and not the gameplay. i don't even know how to think of this.
after we all got hungry, i rejected all offers of healing because there was no food points to waste. quickly my pets got completely cursed, but there was nothing to do about it except to starve us all. eventually both their avatars disappeared, and i had no reason to go forward. despite being a game-over screen, it looked like a dead end because our health and hunger points didn't change, as if instead of dying in the forest, we entered a time trap
