it's a shame that the levels are strictly horizontal, makes the game an auto runner in nature, which isn't a bad thing, but suggests a control scheme where you don't have to press Forward all the time, like a speed switch between slow and fast. the only time where you need to go backwards is to retry a jump, not to explore the area.

i really like the feel of this game, it's a lot like Super Mario Land 1, except the two-color style makes the image more legible. 

Thanks for the comment! It actually started out as an auto runner, but I opted to give the player a little more freedom to retry things. And the fact that it's horizontal was mainly a result of my ignorance. I did not realize how to create slopes when making this, so you get a skateboarding game without ramps, haha. 

However, there is a (tiny) secret level with a bit of verticality. (And a bouncing mechanic not found elsewhere in the game.) You gotta select the right board to unlock it. ;)
