Hi everyone. I just released BUY JEJU, a free open world game that runs in the browser.
https://oreumgames.itch.io/buy-jeju
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tG2N40WbYeI
The idea is pretty simple. You play the youngest son of a Korean conglomerate family. You get sent to Jeju, the volcanic island off the south coast of Korea, with 10 billion won and a navy convertible.
Your goal is to buy the island.
Jeju is divided into 31 land sites. You can buy them, build on them, collect rent, and keep growing your property. The game ends when your property reaches 100 billion won.
There is also a bit of a race involved.
A village broker will call you when a property suddenly goes on sale for half price. Once the call comes in, you have limited time to get there. The time depends on how far away the property is, so sometimes you have to drive across the island as fast as you can.
If you get there first, you get the land cheap. If you are late, your rival Tamna Development gets it.

There is also a girlfriend.
She grumbles non-stop that Jeju is the countryside and that she wants to go back to Seoul. But as you keep making money her attitude slowly changes — that is one of the fun points built into the game.

A few things in the game:
- one continuous version of Jeju with no loading between areas
- you can drive or get out and walk around
- your girlfriend and a cat follow you when you’re on foot
- Korean shop signs, convenience stores, black pork restaurants, oreums, stone walls, tangerine fields and haenyeo
- buildings generate monthly rent
- the game saves in your browser
- English and Korean
- about 30 MB, made with Three.js
- no installation or account required
This is my first attempt at making an open world game, and getting it to work was much harder than I expected.
The early versions weren’t just rough. Some of them were basically unplayable. I rebuilt parts of the game over and over, especially because the world kept getting bigger and the loading time kept getting worse.
I eventually got the first load down to around five seconds, which was a pretty big relief.
I’d really like to know two things from anyone who tries it:
How does the initial loading time feel on your machine?
And does the timer for the half-price properties feel fair, or is it too harsh?
The same game is also available on my own site if you’d rather play there: https://oreumgames.com/en/games/jeju/
Thanks for giving it a try.
Hi everyone! I just released FINGER KICK, a free browser game you can play with one finger.
https://oreumgames.itch.io/finger-kick
It's table soccer with slingshot controls: pull a piece back, let go, and it flicks toward the ball. You get up to 3 flicks per turn, so you can pass, set up a shot, and finish.
- 3-minute matches
- Mouse or touchscreen, one finger is enough
- Real stadium crowd sounds while you play
- Your best records are saved
- English and Korean
Made by a tiny indie team in Korea. This is our first game on itch.io, so I'd love to hear how the physics feel, especially on phones.
If you want more crowd sounds recorded in stadiums across Europe and Brazil, plus a portrait mode, there's a version on our own site:

Thanks for playing!
