Seems to be a common occurrence with bigger brands/companies these days smh... I noticed that the Giants team seem to back pedal and outright avoid the question anytime the the problem is brought up in Q&A's n Such (They obviously know its a major problem in the community) Makes me think that the issue will never truly be resolved properly... Also people like Custom modding who have actual signed deals with giants being able to put beta's behind a paywall is a huge slap in the face to everyone else who is following the TOS and making no profit off their work... Its unfair and inconsiderate af to the rest of you :/

Did some digging and reading in the official fs subred  This is what i have found

If a modder has a Patreon account but all the mods are freely available for anyone regardless? Great, sweet. Awesome. I personally McFricken endorse it. Modders already get a reward per download from us but we are totally not against them making some extra via Patreon, Ko-Fi or whathaveyou.

The problem we have is, if people hide a mod behind a paywall. Be it the finished mod, beta access, early access etc. We do not want that and stuff like that should be reported to "abuse ät giants-software.com"

So Sadly patron is still goes against their TOS :? ^ as stated they do not mind if you accept donations but placing mods/content behind a paywall still goes against the TOS and they have taken action against those who do not wish to follow their terms in the past... Hopefully this helps and i wish you the best!

(Sorry for late reply) I agree it is very irritating that most of these bigger modders are allowed to still get away with this even after 5+ years of complaints, and Yes i will try to find some written proof of this for you :)

Seems some of you are bit confused ^ Giants will provide the proper proof for the refund not the refund itself

In the eyes of Giants the Patron service is not considered Sale of their mods Sadly This has been an ongoing issue since fs17 and has been brought up multiple times in the past with no action taken... We can only hope that changes in the future but as for now Patron is not viewed as such sadly... Again two wrongs don't make a right just because you see another Modder selling their products doesn't mean you now have the right to do so...I really don't understand why you believe it does 

Selling a mod directly is different from selling a membership to a service that happens to come with Access to their betas The patron issue has been brought up in the past and has been confirmed by officials that it does not breach the current TOS multiple times (No i do not agree with this) Again You are Selling the mod not a Service big difference in giants eyes sadly. Also the Westcliffe map you are talking about was not in beta and Still a Private WIP (Thanks for bring that to my attention) I was following what a month ago? I dont understand why you are trying to justify breaking the agreement... using others as examples of why you should be able too?...I mean you went as far as to post a picture of the agreement you breached Yet you continue to try and justify your wrong doing. I apricate the low price and im not trying to be some prude but rules are there for a reason and as a member of the community i would like to keep our community free as its always been... Like i said i simply recommend doing patron thing as it seems the safest way to profit off of your hard work currently 

Two different things.... You are Charging for mod not a membership The Modder you have mentioned are charging for the membership which comes with access to their beta mods (Not the mod specifically) Even if that was a breach of the EULA (Which It isn't) two wrongs dont make a right... it shouldn't take some random to tell you that but anyways.... I simply recommend setting up a patron instead of charging for the products So people that do want to support your mods still can and you can avoid any future issues

Sale of Mods for farming simulator goes against giants (EULA) all mods created using their game tools are considered the property of the company and must be distributed freely, Clearly stated in the (EULA) Which you agreed to when downloaded the editor... I have reported this user/ip and product to Giants Legal team, If you would like to request a Link to the original Ticket as proof so you may receive a refund feel free to dm me.
