Good game and nice controls! Really like the doctor character and introduction. My only nitpick is that it would be nice to have some kind of a trash bin to toss away those imperfect rotting organs once you have a suitable replacement (old organs really clutter already small workspace and often left me confused about what organs should I put back in)

Nice shooter! Sadly, boss battles (counting miniboss secret encounter) are kinda underwhelming by being a lot easier than normal encounters due to there only being one big guy with a small amount of health.
Also there are some bugs like scrap amount (and mutator scrap requirements) not showing on the level before boss and very abrupt transition into metro on the same level.
The mechanic with healing/mutating is cool, but I didn't really feel much difference in gameplay with this mutations (not counting shotgun or fire speed, they obviously made a huge impact on my playstyle). A nice touch on making a road to lead player through the level, I also love the purple lights that mark fighting spots!
It's really impressive that you managed to do a voice acting for dialogues, and they are pretty funny ngl, but I didn't really like the turtleman VA, too slow for my taste.
Cool tower defense!
A shame that there are no prices displayed for plant upgrades so I personally ended up spam-clicking upgrade in hopes of having enough purple thingy for the purchase. Speaking of plant upgrades: they are interesting, but I don't really see any use of them besides the ones that give regeneration and ability to shoot. As for root upgrade I think it should be the last one considering how much flexibility it gives (but its soooo cool, never have I seen a tower defense where you can chain the tower to your back xd)
The game is very confusing at the beginning tho, would be good to let the player read the introduction in peace before spawning monsters. Also music doesn't loop and just ends at some point which is sad.
