Hi everyone!
I'm a student game developer, and while working on multi-language projects, I kept running into frustrating runtime issues caused by CSV files—things like missing format tokens (`{0}`, `{playerName}`), syntax mismatches, and German/French text unexpectedly breaking UI layouts.
To catch these issues early, I built **StringGuard**, a lightweight, client-side CSV linter designed specifically for game developers and narrative teams.
**Key Highlights:**
- **Token Consistency:** Flags missing or altered format tokens between source and target languages.
- **Length & Overflow Warnings:** Highlights translated text that significantly exceeds source length to help spot UI overflows before importing into your engine.
- **100% Client-Side:** Everything runs entirely in your browser memory. No text or CSV data is ever uploaded to a server.
- **Completely Free:** No accounts, no paywalls, no install needed.
You can try it out directly in your browser here:

I'd really love any feedback or thoughts from fellow indies—what checks would make your localization pipeline smoother?
Thanks for checking it out!
