Gameplay Video for Lugh's Spear. Thank you for a fun jam all.

Thank you, I appreciate you playing it. I know it's short but it was a lot of fun  to make and the polish was important to me.

I really like this game. Simple concept to avoid hazards and time jumps but as the difficulty increased, I found myself really enjoying the challenge. Well Done and keep going with your idea!

Thank you! That's the concept of all my games. They will all live inside Irish Mythology which is something that I want to share with the world because it's so fun. Thanks for noticing and playing and reviewing!

I didn't know this was possible in Gdevelop. The 3D with the fast response time and the aesthetic. Loved it. Dial done the music and up the ship sounds and it will add to that alien arcade vibe. The ship was a little tricky to control but the guard rails were a help! Well done.

This is a fun game! I got to the end after a little trial and error. Once I realised she is able to fly with the jump, those flowers/grass spawn never stood a chance! Well done. Add the audio and keep going with it. Give it juice and a but of crunch!

This is a great concept that could be worked on and released as a game after polishing and getting the right audio and the puzzle part sorted. The animations for the cat! Wow. This is such a good 9 day jam concept. Well Done

I left a longer review with a screen shot of me almost reaching the door but there was an error in uploading I think but I was thinking about once you see the door that you could add in other clues so it's not merely chance at the end. Great design and gameplay. Really enjoyed it! Keep going with this.

This is  brilliant and fun! Well done. Creative, atmospheric, simple to understand and replayability assured when you miss a ledge and want to have one more go! Addictive. You're on to something...

How do we pick up the items? So confused. Loved the animation transition as the elevator went up and the overall design and audio. You should expand on this game. The atmosphere is on point.

Okay, I legit love the concept. Get some animations for the player character and some weird levels and you are on a winner because the atmosphere is great as is the art and the madness of humans angle. Keeps us guessing. Just insult us after you've entertained us through a level

As another player said, for some of us it is hard to distinguish between platform and the background. Easy fix to make more of a contrast there. I like the alarm and the music pushing us to rush and the controls and idea are great. The zoomed in camera view gives the trapped sensation and urgency a boost but pulling back a little bit to give breathing room to see the obstacles would help. Keep working on it and make it visually a little clearer for players and you'll have a neat frenzy game trying to escape that I'd enjoy rage playing! Well done

You're on a winning formula. Love the character and wish I could have reached the summit! Well done.

The sounds were really good, rain and background audio rally helped create the atmosphere along witht he dark art aesthetic. I think the jump sound could be a little more juice as it's the most prominent sound. I couldn't use the sword at all which means I'm useless at aiming for a melee attack but still managed to dodge and jump and fall and ass up to the 850 stars required to...restart the game! Brilliant slice of a good idea for the jam. Well done.

I also got stuck on the second level but the game is fun, the responsiveness of the jump is good. The visuals with the colours are interesting. Well done

I really liked what I played. I got as far as the police cars and though you couldn't continue working on the game, it has something about it. The movement was bananas but felt good when I figured out the jumping, like I'd mastered a skill. The art is engaging. Throw in some sound effects and work on level design and you have a nice looking game when you have time to complete it. Well done

Cheers for that. I think I'll call the level of effort my game jam frenzy mode!

Thank you so much!

Thanks for that. I must reduce the hitboxes on the gold blocks and the arrow to make it more accurate to shoot and get the high score of 950.  Great feedback!

Hey Abdul, I went back again as your game deserved it. I couldn't get past the second chick. This happened the first time too. I jumped on it but then it dropped me and bounced up onto the ledge from the flower and I just couldn't time it or jump with it. I saw from the comments the screenshot of the next chick and I was glad to see someone else had gotten further. I  really like the game and would have continued to see all the variations of chick you have created. The atmosphere is chilly with the sparse soundscape and the colour palette, though minimal, works but does become repetitive when you get stuck like I did. Maybe have an easier jump using the second chick to teach the mechanic first then when it gets more challenging, it will at least be understood. If perhaps you zoomed in a little to the level, that would make it more mysterious which is the vibe the audio is giving too. I'm not sure if that helps but I would encourage you to try make the second chick easier and I would be delighted to try it again until I too can become master of Growing Up North! I hope this helps a little.

I liked the concept of this game but the controls were hard to master. Maybe have a quick onboarding tutorial at the beginning. I had to zoom out to play. Perhaps point in the direction of the checkpoints? This is such a cool concept for a game and I loved the style of it. I could see it on mobile for sure. Great stuff

Yep level 2 was waaay too hard for me. But this game is excellent. So polished in looks and audio. If you can get the difficulty right for people to onboard, you're on to a winner, Well done

Awesome. The game looks good and the death animation in particular is fire. I know this from personal experience of multiple deaths!! It's definitely really hard. Sounds would elevate the fun so do expand on it after the jam. it'd be worth it.

Thank you for playing it!

That was tough! The controls were so tight and I am clearly useless at games like these when there is rapid danger!! I wasn't sure what I could jump on at first but then I got the hang of it. Maybe  alter the colours on the ledges a bit to make it a bit clearer? It really is very cool though. Well done.

Superb looking game! Really challenging. Maybe a few checkpoints might make it easier to get to the boss. This was so well done. Colours were on point and the animations were so cool.

Thank you for noticing the gold block sfx!! I love Gdevelop's particle effects system and had fun trialling different sounds for it.

This is a stunning game. I loved it. Chill vibes counterpoint catastrophic consequences in such a simple idea. Beautifully executed.

Thank you so much. Really appreciate that

This was fun, frustrating with the little alien brats trying to stop me!! Loved the mechanics. Is it procedural when respawned? That is so well done. The opening animation was brilliant. Cheese as motivation is a new one for me!

I loved it! I absolutely loved it. I wanted to bang my keyboard over my head when I lost and was sent back to the spinning spike thingy so I didn't finish it but the atmosphere, the sounds...I thought it was perfect even if you could be nicer and set a checkpoint after the spinning saw of doom!! Ha

Well done. Creepy audio but it suits the visuals perfectly!! You should adjust the camera a bit and expand on this game when you can as it is fun. I like the way the player breaks into pieces when it collides with a gravestone.

That is high praise indeed. Thank you!

Woops I replied on the main page but thanks again Abdul! Much appreciated

Thank you so much
