Good use of the spinning theme, I found the visuals a little at odds with the story though.

Really great take on the theme. The minimal sound effects lead to a light horror vibe, which is cool. I don't know if this was planned or emergent, but just as I was about to grab the third orb, the floor shifted and I was sent sailing away. All I could do was watch the orb fade into the distance and yell, "Nooooo!" Good times.

Once you get into the flow of things it's pretty easy to keep the plane going. I could definitely see how this could be expanded to different planes, different tasks, and task dependencies. Solid concept!

The movement and controls are really tight, so well done there, but there are some issues. The delay between shots is really long, which makes dispatching enemies a chore, especially in arenas where platforming is needed to move around. Also I'm not sure if the audio is bugged since there are options for audio, but I couldn't hear anything.

I'm not very good at the game, I flung my ballerina off the table more than I'd like to admit :P. The interpretation of the theme and the visuals are top notch!

I agree with other comments about starting behind a car that you can't see. Other than that, the controls are pretty good, with the drifting mechanic being a highlight. The music is appropriately intense. Best time I could get was 1:26, hopefully Mr. Business was okay.

I got to the point where there is a small gap between some clipboards and a book that mentions "loosing your footing or dropping to the ground is a good way to lower your height." I figured that I needed to somehow crouch or loose height to get through the space, but couldn't figure it out.

I just now went back and climbed up a book to get behind the troublesome gap. I found the other book that tells you to knock the blocks off the pressure pad, so I just pushed them off and finished the level :). I restarted the level again to figure out what I was supposed to do and finally noticed the small hole in the floor that I'm supposed sink into so that I can throw my head at the blocks on the other side of the gap. Sitting inside the hole was the first time that I noticed the "knock the blocks off" book from this side of the gap. I knew it was a me problem lol, you even have a glowing light coming up through the hole in the floor.

Solid platforming with an interesting use of the "spinning" theme. I really liked how the attract and repel mechanics were integrated. I got stuck on the head throwing level, but that's almost certainly a me problem :P Well done!

Damn bugs! If you're able to get it sorted before the submissions are locked let me know.

Game launches to a scene with a slot machine (?), but nothing is interactable.

(Edit after dev fixes):

I'm glad you guys got it working. The Hamster Machine is less a game and more a meditation on commitment, relationships, and the meaning of life. It's deeply critical of society and religion's role in people's lives, and our struggle to navigate these waters. I don't want to spoil anything, but I'll say that I'm on your wavelength. Good job!

Not sure if you've got a bug, but I waited for ~5 min. on the loading screen before closing the app.

(Edit: After dev bug fix).

I think this is a really cool premise. Being stuck in the desert with this awkward vehicle that derives power from a turbine, but is enhanced by crystals (?). The visuals and audio give eerie sci-fi vibes.

I seen the ingredients in the customer dialogue and used them. My main confusion came from the tutorial (attempting to interpret what "appropriate heat" I needed), I've given the game another go since the update to play in browser, and was able to make it through the customers.

This game is so cool, I love it. What a great take on the theme.

The visuals are pretty good, giving off an 80's video game vibe. I found the marble's acceleration to be a bit quick, which made some of the jumping sections tricky to judge. That said, the controls are responsive.

Good art and controls. I think there's an interesting idea here, but I'm struggling to connect the information in your tutorial to the game itself. I cannot get past the first customer.

My turtle may not always be the best dressed, but at least it's not going hungry! This game is oozing with charm. I love the "clock out" button instead of "quit," the background music is great, and the propeller hat for "serious attire" is so good. Great job!

I love the use of theme! Setting up spinning launch points is a really cool idea, but there seems to be some gremlins operating the spinners.

Lining up a hit is a little finicky, especially against a single target, but when you land a big sweeping swing it's very satisfying.

I really like the take on the theme! It took me a bit to notice the difference between flat and curly hair in the photos, but once I got the hang of it there were some very stylish customers. Great job!

No worries, I appreciate the critique. My rational for the loop comes from the way scoring works. The output (total score) from one round becomes the input (baseline score) for the next, like a feedback loop.

Thanks for the feedback! Honestly, I worried so much about making the threshold too high and having players get stuck in a long tug of war. But now that I've had some time to step back, I like the idea of a variable threshold. I'll look to add it after the jam.

You're not kidding, that rewind was a genuine jump scare :)

I loved how loops were incorporated into the mechanics and the narrative. Everything worked together really well, great job! Also, the music was spot on!

I love the way you took the theme! Very cozy vibes, I loved this, great job.

Will Abode's greed ever cease! Honestly, great job!

Thanks for playing! I'm glad you had fun with it. To answer your question, it's a bit of column A and a bit of column B. All the food weights where found online and everything else I weighed myself. Honestly, a lot of the weights were a surprise to me as well :)

I loved the art, the music, and the direction you went with the theme. Good job!

It took me a minute to realize this was in 3D (likely a me problem :P), but once I did, I liked the idea of an omnidirectional tower defense game.

Very cute and cozy game. I really enjoyed it, great work!

Good job! I really like how the weight on the scale fluctuates a little when the beans drop in, it made me pause for a moment to make sure I had the correct weight.

As a note: When I played at full screen, everything worked fine, but when I played in the browser window the beans would disappear when the fell onto the scale. (I'm playing on Chrome)

Bug noted! I'll have to give it a fix after the jam. Thanks for playing :)

Apologies my liege, there was a rat-goblin gnawing on the tower.

I really like this concept, and I think this could get fleshed out into something really fun. Good job!

This is a really great concept! Fun banter between the characters and cute art. I could see this as a full game for sure.
