You’ve inherited a pawn shop in rural Wharf Harbor. The stock is yours. So are the debts.
Hi everyone! I’m the developer of We Accept Lives, a PSX-style horror shop simulator set in 1994. Examine second-hand goods, negotiate across the counter and manage inherited accounts including loans where the customer’s life is the collateral.

The updated demo is free to play in your desktop browser, with the prologue and your first shift included.
Following player feedback, I’ve reworked the opening, added a drag-and-drop inventory and usable flashlight, and brought body dragging and burial into the demo. The clipboard interface and several collision issues have also received fixes.
I’m aiming for that uneasy feeling of doing an ordinary job while gradually realizing something is very wrong.
Play We Accept Lives on itch.io
I’d love to hear which moment first made you uneasy and whether anything during your first shift left you unsure of what to do next.
Thanks to everyone who has played and helped improve it!
