That's not a stupid question, and I'm glad you asked! 😄 Yes, .gbc is a Game Boy Color compatible file. You can play TaiFab on a real Game Boy Color (if you have the right set-up) or on a GBC emulator. I personally use Bizhawk (https://tasvideos.org/BizHawk/ReleaseHistory) to play GBC games on my computer, but there are many emulators available. 🙂
Please let me know if you have any other questions, and I hope you enjoy TaiFab! I really appreciate your support!
Thank you so much for playing and supporting TaiFab! I'm so glad you liked it! 💖
I'm hoping to release Taiyaki Fabulous Test Kitchen by the end of this year. 🙂 However, I worked on another game which will hopefully come out next month! It's called Pixel Pup, and it will have lots of puzzles, including random puzzles!
I really enjoyed that video and added some of those games to my own to-play list! 😄 I hope you enjoy TaiFab and all the other awesome nonogram games out there! BTW, the video maker didn't mention Logiart Grimoire, but that's one of my favorites and I highly recommend it if you haven't already played it.
I hope you can get credit for your achievements!
Yeah, I'm working on a sequel called Taiyaki Fabulous Test Kitchen (GBC) that I am aiming to release later this year! I'm also collaborating with Matt of Retro Dot Cards on Pixel Pup (GBA), and we will probably release it in the next month or so. 😄 Thanks so much for your interest in my games!
Oh, nobody was really downloading the .pocket file for the browser version, so I didn't bother to generate one for TaiFabPlus! I'm not in a good situation to do that right now, but I could possibly take a look at it later
I don't have an Analogue Pocket, so I don't really know its technical specs, but can it play .gb ROMs as well as .pocket games? 🙂 (When I put out the first .pocket file, I had to ask a friend of mine to check it for playability. He's in the credits because of that! 😄)
Yeah, unfortunately TaiFabPlus is verrrrrry different--I significantly revised the code, so although it has mostly the same player-facing content as the free version, it's actually a different game. You can see this comment from the person who developed the RetroAchievements integration:
At any rate, I really appreciate your kind comment and I'm so glad you like TaiFab! 💖
I'm really glad you enjoyed TaiFab! Yeah, I chose to lower the music during puzzles because I find music and sounds distracting when I solve a puzzle, but I'm sure other people may feel differently. 🙂 If you like the soundtrack for TaiFab, you can download it for free! https://objetdiscret.itch.io/fab-class-tunes
Thanks for playing and commenting! 💖
