Thanks a bunch! It's really motivating actually having someone play the game and even more so that you enjoy it :)

Glad you liked it! Thanks :)

Short and sweet! I like the simplistic art style, the little extra touch of stars blinking, and the planet lights pulsating look nice.  It's also really cool that you have to jump to the next planet because you're slightly drifting away upon every "loop". Good job!

I like the update a lot!
The intro that you added helps a great deal when it comes to understanding the game. The first time I played it during the jam it was hard but now the game was really easy to grasp.

You fixed a lot of bugs which is nice, I love how the game feels smooth now and I like that you added the roguelike features like the fog of war as it makes the game more interesting.

I think you can play around a bit with the difficulty as I didn't feel like it was that difficult now, my mana never ran out and I could just take my time around the level. I have no roguelike experience before this so I don't know how other games do it.

Other than that you can add more content, more levels, or perhaps you unlock new spells over time?

Cool game, I enjoyed it!

I like how responsive the game feels and how the synergy between assets and game fits so well. It took me a few tries before I understood that it was fine to touch the red squares and after that, the game became easier. I managed to get stuck during some jumps which just needs to happen once for your run to be over.
I think the game is really solid, with good presentation and execution. Well done!

Thanks for the thorough review and I'm happy you liked it!
I know the game lacks a bit of balancing but as you say the 3 hour period is very limiting. I think it would make the game fairer if I would randomly generate some of the programming problems or at least randomize the order. For this jam, I made them all by hand and just play them in sequence. If  I ever decide to bring this concept into something more complete I will take your feedback with me.
Once again thank you very much!

I like to see the usage of Pico-8! The game was fun and I like how the puzzle aspect works, it takes some time to figure it out! Very creative, nice work!

Thank you very much!
My engine currently only supports windows which is unfortunate, which platform are you on?

The dialog was interesting and funny at times, the twist was unexpected! If I understand your description it is based on the characters in your other game which is very creative as well. Nice work!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, you also got a great score. Nice!
I think the time limit was to my benefit there else I would probably have made the game even harder!

Right now it is still a closed source engine but I plan on making it available here on itch.io sometime soon!
Yeah making your engine is difficult and you have to set aside a lot of time before you can reap the benefits. I'd recommend developing one subsystem at a time to not get overwhelmed, If you ever get stuck or have questions I'd be happy to lend a hand!

Glad you enjoyed it, I understand the game can be difficult as it is designed to be such. I will however bring this feedback with me if I update this game or for my next project!

Thank you very much!

I enjoyed it, I think the graphics look interesting, the concept of having three different spells makes it interesting and gives it kind of a puzzle feel which I enjoy.
The game ran well, I also think it's cool that you release the source for others to see and learn.
Great job for being the first time using your engine!

Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I  think you have the highest score so far.
The engine used is called Maraton and it's my custom-built engine.

Very glad to hear that you enjoyed it!
I agree that there would be very nice with such quality of life features. Due to the time limit, I restricted the game to give more of an arcade feel. However I do note your feedback, thanks!

Cool game! It plays well, easy to grasp and get started with. I read your description, it's great that you pushed through and finished the game. I hope you learned a lot, I bet the next game you make in Godot will come easier!

I enjoyed the dialog in the game and I like the artwork. It was a very unique take on the theme which I like. Good job!

The game fits the theme well and I like the visuals, I think using emojis was a cool idea. The levels were fun and creative.  Good job!

Thank you for the kind words!
I have seen Exapunks before but never tried it myself.
Making a full game based on programming seems like a  very cool idea and something that you can experiment a lot with. Something that inspired me with that type of game is that you have a lot of algorithms that you could turn into interesting puzzles that will produce the eureka feeling once you see the connection.

My game engine currently doesn't support compilation into web assembly.
This is in my backlog but couldn't get that ready before the jam.

I will bring this tip with me to the next jam, thank you very much!
