Hey everyone!
I've been working on TypeBattle, a typing game where you fight other people in real time. You both type the same sentence, and every word you finish is a sword swing at the other player. Make a typo and your guard breaks, so their next hit is a crit. If you get through a whole round without a single mistake, your character does their ultimate move, which honestly is my favourite part of the whole thing.
There's also a mode where typing builds up energy and you spend it by typing monster names (monkeys, knights, gorillas, dragons). You can mash two together into one word, like knightdragon, and they fuse. It gets chaotic fast.
Some other stuff in there:
- quick match against real players, or practice against bots
- private rooms, just send your friend the link
- a short solo campaign with boss temples
- no download and no account needed. Signing in is only for the leaderboard.
It runs in the browser, but you do need a real keyboard, so phones are watch-only for now.
