His comment didnt age well, you got 1st community pick lmao WELL DONE!

100% agree. I missed a few days of this jam because of life committments, but got this far!

My guys name was “Jibbery” haha - very interesting design for these lil fellas. Quite enjoyed it but was a little strange hahaha, especially drowning it with the water :P

This is quite well fleshed out. Has lots of features that tie together nicely. I liked the campaign missions - has a cool story with somebody knowing who you are and waiting for you. I could see this as a bigger mobile game. :)

I like this, seems like a cool audio-visual experiment! I’m not sure I quite understand how the AFK systems work with this, but I had lots of fun!

Was a little hard to figure out what I had to do and how the UI works but once I got to playing a bit it revealed a lot of content. The asthetic and sounds are really nice, definitely suit a theme.

Just popping in to defend here. Intro was PERFECTION!

I like how you turned an incredibly basic concept into a comedic narrative experience - this was actually quite fun. Very silly!

I like the asthetic of this, however I found it quite difficult to use + the zoom seems to be way too close?

Getting past the soft-lock of Player2 ai is a little annoying, though I understand. I also dislike that the Auth says “Allow PerCare Corporation to access your account” - not sure if this is just how Player2.AI words it or if you have more access than I am aware of.

I spammed grants and was approved for every one, then bought everything. Had a major negative quota (think millions/billions) and didn’t know what else to do.

Eitherway, I like the Windows Vista esque vibes (nostalgia)

You should be proud, this is clean - would be curious how well you’d fly through a react dev role.

This is cool!

Very interesting and unique! I like that you can literally design your own pet with canvas tools. Very cool!

This one stands out to me. This is really good, reminds me a lot of Pokemon Quest for the IPad / Phone.

I love the style of this, and the animations / reactivity to clicks and drags are nice. I like the little ‘ghost zone’ of fallen pets and the idea of thinking about how to spend the money you accrue. Very nice, I hope to see this as a bigger game someday :)

Could see this on steam.

I almost finished it! so close

This is really unique, I like the trippy vibe it gives off. It was fun to take care of this little creature and the text is unsettling haha.

Big props for making all the art assets yourself - I love the handcrafterd slightly unsettling look haha.

Unfortunately I started by dropping the items onto the world and I couldn’t pick them up again, refreshed then played it properly haha.

This was fun

Good start, I see the vision. I’m glad you had fun making this! :)

Ooh I like this, fed it some images, turned out looking pretty cool. I like the unique look based on provided images. well done.

Also runs nice, react + tailwind. Are you a Dev by trade?

Nice!!

I love the asthetic of the art! Very fun to play - unfortunately the LLM A.I doesn’t work, says it can’t parse a response :(

This was fun~

Wow there’s a lot to this one, I like all the different mechanics; exploring, assembling, fighting etc. Well done :) This one was fun

Unique and fun, I didn’t manage to get the pet to snatch the cat, but I did have the creature flailing so tall it was off screen :p

This is super low-rez but kicks butt at it! Looks very nice for such little pixels. Feels fun, I liked running around with the ball and snoozing. Cute

This one is very impressive. I really like how clean and polished this feels. The style and design is nice - and I really like the play on words with playful.ai jam being a food ‘jam’ :P

Also eating public domain drama, and generating dialog is nice!

Looks very cutesy and seems like a fun cozy experience, especially if fleshed into a full game :)

Cute little game. I like the AFK summary feature (I did the same) with window focus loss then re-focus. I like that you can build resilience over time. However I was concerned the lil guy is gonna be unhappy and melting as I have him in the background while testing other games! :P

This is nice, however I am finding it tricky to play, managed to do some minigames which were fun but got soft-locked on the blueprint screen (unable to close).

Overall, I like the vibe and style of this game, the minigames are a nice touch and the sounds are cool. If I had a little more direction about what to do I think this would be a lot of fun!

Ended up downloading and playing - I like this, cute style and music - however I am finding it difficult to know what to do / play. I’d like to see where this project goes :)

Simple yet polished, I like it

Curious why it is 800MB, my antivirus also flares up so I had to skip this one :/

Very cute, I like the art style - functions quite well. Definitely cozy :D

I appreciate you releasing this free of charge - I will look into these and if I end up using them I will definitely donate to you :)

Yeah we absolutely should not be modifying any submissions since the deadline - it should be locked? (most jams do this) - I initially thought you meant you reuploaded to another itch page, but playing this again shows the update was applied here.

It’s a fun game, but like Fatal says, be careful.

Haha yeah I realized after I submitted that there were a few minor tweaks needed to make it a little nicer to play - unfortunately I didn’t get much playtesting time myself nor did I manage to get any friends to test it before submission.

Thanks for playing :)

PS: I have tried and rated every game in this jam :)

Haha I followed those exact platforms staggered down like a staircase and fell into doom

Thank you! Yeah the camera is set that way to line up for boss battle panning - I do realize it can get a little difficult though, perhaps the player staying more of the center lane rather than near the top?

Haha, quick tip, if you give it another play, the level lanes will spawn differently. I didn’t have time to manually tune the levels for difficulty so it has some randomness on level start

Thank you for your response. I actually did have skippable dialogs but it caused some breaking problems with scene changes and image queuing so I just disabled it before submission.

Definitely a few bugs here and QOL features needed but I’ll probably do a little more on this after the jam has ended

If you run the game again it’ll be a different difficulty. I didn’t have time to manually tune the levels so they do have some randomness set when the level starts.

This usually sets up decent difficulty and gameplay, but every now and then you get a really bad RNG roll where the lanes are very very hard to cross.

Also the unforgiving colliders seem to be the cars, much bigger than other ones hahah woops

Damn I’m sorry about that! Lucky that’s the last scene before the outro which basically says thanks for playing.

Yeah this is a known bug with the paper pickups - it happens when you are already holding paper and try to pickup more by throwing what you have while holding the other. There’s a max limit to spawn in the scene and it seems to be breaking that

Unfortunately caught this bug after submission

Thank you for your comment :)

Ah yeah it seems to have some issues with playing on Chrome specifically. I found chrome has problems with this. Using edge worked better.

Please keep me updated :)

This boss battle is very very fluid - I could see this in large scale waves of enemies or even a story game with bosses.

I added some very basic boss phase AI into my entry and I know it can be tricky managing all those states and transitions - you’ve done an excellent job here.

The animations and sounds as well as the Visual Effects are very nice!
