It took a minute to figure out the controls, so i would recommend a small tutorial inside the house or writing the controls on the itch page.

\^o^/

Don't misunderstand. The fact that you coded it all rather then using a game engine is impressive. Not to mention the time restriction.

It was fun getting to the point where i could just dash and kill everything in my way.

Thanks for the feedback. Some of it was done last minute (2 am) hence the lack of a proper tutorial.
Thanks for spending the time with the game.

The time controls are things you pick up when you essentially kill a robot, ether by some game mechanics or speeding them up to the point where they ran out of battery. There is a locked door that is all the way to the right of the map. if you get the skip time power you can degrade and break to lock. that is where you would find the other you. There is a robot at the very back behind the tornado things, that could help a little.

i hoped you liked it even if it was a mess.

The pacing of the game felt a bit slow.

You had a much more interesting wall jumping mechanic i would have loved to see more of.

It gave me a scare at the beginning when someone just appeared out of no where.

Picking up the key was a little annoying with the bobbing. May i recommend adding a box collision that blocks all collision types. This way you can remove the collision on the key mesh reducing the memory use and improving the pickup.

If you want some more advice let me know since i also use unreal engine.

For those that want to reach the end and not spend too much time figuring out how to, there are a few requirements.

  1. Pick up a key at some point in the run.
  2. Reach the "Insanity" Room, by going in the same direction 10 times, for example 10 right doors or 10 forward doors. At this point you will be given the first part of the key on a wall (FFRLLL)
  3. From here you want to follow this key FFRLLLRFFRLRFRLLFRFL (F= Forward, R= Right, and L= Left)

It may look like you have rest a couple of times, but the room is slightly different, The painting may be upside down, The bookshelf may have been flipped, a table may be smaller or the bookshelf would have moved.

The ending is also just a room with 1 table in it and that is it. Sorry to disappoint. It turns out i wasn't returning anything for the last room, hence no ending.

There is another bug where the initial part of the key is wrong. It doesn't tell you about the red room that comes second.

I love the puns and will add a 23rd (21st is you exclude the spawn and end rooms) room just for you.

I am glad you liked it. After the game jam is over I will update it so there are less problems. I will also provide more hints.

There are some rooms that tell you a bit about getting out.

Thanks for playing.

The first step would be going through the same door 10 times.

Loved it. I even got jump scared. Would love more.
